Actually came for my favourite imperial treasure Cantonese restaurant, but as it was still undergoing renovation, we thought we’d give steamboat a try. It turned out to be an excellent decision.
The restaurant was full when we came, it service remained extremely attentive. The set menus saved us a lot of time; and portions were sufficient for two hungry men! (We got the $148 set menu). The food was served so quickly that the titbits were unnecessary - next time I go I would reject them. We had the classic pork bone soup - it’s superb; I didn’t feel thirsty after the meal :-). We loved the meat and seafood balls.
Perhaps the management could throw in a complimentary dessert for the sets. Won’t cost too much, ya know.
