“No wonder it is called best Rou Gu Cha in Singapore.”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

My mom and I went to buy from this Rou Gu Cha on Saturday, for lunch, as we were not aware that they were closed on Monday, so we made a wasted trip a few days back.

There were about 20 to 30 plus varieties of food to choose from their menu. My mom picked their soup, which were very good. Their you tiao was also very crispy, and you can feel the tenderness when it was put into your mouth.

Their pork ribs were also good, my mom picked the best quality one, and its taste were so so good, that I was asking for more. The only downside is that the ribs were very salty.

My mom and I will be definitely going back to this Rou Gu Cha again.

No wonder it is named as number 1 restaurant by the newspapers in Singapore.

“Best Bakuteh in Singapore. Period.”
Reviewed December 14, 2012 via mobile

This little gem is a must visit during a culinary tour of Singapore. The menu worth trying is the pork ribs, salted vegetables, ca kue, and fish slice soup. They give you free refills of soup and yes the base is different types of peppers which they source from as far away as China, someone told me. The atmosphere isnt so great as its at the PSA building food court on Keppel Rd right on the side of the road hence it's hot and noisy. But the food makes me a return customer. Friends of mine that go to Singapore absolutely must try this place. I can't possibly explain the tenderness of the pork ribs or the quality of the soup base. Bravo!

“Visit the Main Store at 593 Havelock Road”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

Located at Isetan Office Building, opens between 11am to 2am, popular place for dinner and after party supper joint. When ordering pork rib soup, there is $6 for an individual portion of bak kut teh with spare ribs and $7 for a serving with prime ribs. My personal preference is the latter. Soup base is clear, Teochew style but can be peppery to non locals. Soup top up is provided.

Try the braised nuts, which are flavour-some, and priced very attractively. Try also the braised pig intenstines which goes well with rice. Another staple to try is the mien sian (which is fine noodle) which comes in a bowl of soup.

Definitely belonging to one of the best BKT stalls in Singapore!

“Very average”
Reviewed January 11, 2012

This place serves the pepper style bah kut teh. But basically feels like drinking a bowl of pepper soup. Very very average, if u know what I mean. Located in a coffee shop with the noisy road just beside the coffee shop. Expensive!
