After being sat in a table right next to four other diners, when there were plenty others free, we all chose our food items from the menu. One of the people I was dining with wanted a caeser salad which they said they didnt have. Being allergic to tomatoes, theres not much on the menu she can have so she ordered a blt and asked for it without tomato. When it finally came, there was tomato in the side salad! We ordered a serving of garlic bread which came. a long time after ordering it. Our meals, there were four of us, came at different times in about 10-15 minute intervals so the first person finished her meal before the thirds even arrived. On top of that all our meals tasted like they had been microwaved. Even after that experience we decided to order brownies which were advertised as SGD$2.80 each or 4 for $10. We ordered 2 classics, 1 "marble" and one "assorted nuts", all options which were on the banner above the brownies. After the waitress walked back to the other staff and giggled while looking at us, it was still at least another ten minutes until the marble and assorted nuts brownies came out. Assuming that they were following the interval method they had adopted when we recieved our mains, we paitently waited another 15 minutes for the other two brownies. When they didnt come, we asked the waiter and he just looked at us and walked off. Another waitress came over and after at least five minutes of trying to explain, we stated that we wanted two classics. they asked us which toppings, we said none, they said that wasnt an option despite it being on the menu. So we ordered two more marble brownies and again had to wait at least five minutes for them to come. After all this, we were charged $2.80 for each brownie instead of the advertised 4 for $10. We paid it anyway as it seemed too much trouble to explain and the wait staff did not even say goodbye or thank you to us or even acknowledge us as we left. In short, dont come here. The food is terrible, the service is terrible and its not very well priced for the crap that it is.

Have to say that the staff there are so lovely. Food is pretty good if you're looking for something to just hit the spot while you're shopping at Takashimaya. They are very accommodating with children and have even asked after mine when I made a quick stop for a coffee on my own. The only thing I will say though is that if the place is busy I wouldn't go in if you don't have much time to spare as it can take quite a while. In fairness I think they only have a very small kitchen and perhaps maybe even a couple of chefs. All in all a good place especially if you have over done it on the dumplings and want something western!!!

My husband and I were with our 4 months old baby at Terminal 2 on 1st May, 2pm. We were looking for a nursing room to feed our crying and hungry baby but were not able to find one. When we chance upon Breeks restaurant, we were pleased to see that they had many private looking booths that we could use to nurse our baby discreetly with a cover while having some coffee and deserts.

We stood at the service counter waiting for someone to lead us to an available table but were not served after 5mins. The wait staff ignored us. As my baby was crying badly by then, I walked in and told the service staff we want to have a table at the booths. The short haired Chinese lady who served us gave a look and said one word. Wait! She sounded both rude and impatient.

We waited and finally she brought us to the booth. I was about to sit down with my baby and take out my cover when she said "No! This one must put there!" she was referring to our pram and wanted us to put it in a small counter where they leave their dirty utensils. I tried to reason with her stating that the area is unhygienic and that I need the pram for my baby who is not yet strong enough to sit up to lie in. Instead of helping us find another seat where we can fit the pram at the table, mind you, the restaurant is big and spacious with many many empty tables, she continued to say "No! Cannot!"

By now, a lot of people are staring as my poor baby was crying and hungry and we were struggling to ask her to let us have a seat and our pram so we can feed our baby. She started raised her voice at us. It was then I said "Oh my God! Let's get out of here. There's no point reasoning with her and she has no heart for our baby." Instead of apologising, she turned and walked off with me staring at her back in disbelief.

My husband and I went down one floor and walked around trying to pacify our baby till we had no choice but to sit in a very public area with my cover nursing my by then, very distressed baby. All the restaurants and cafes were full and there were no nursing rooms in sight.

This is a most terrible experience and I wonder how other tired travellers with hungry babies cope at Terminal 2. On top of which, I am most appalled at the attitude of the Chinese short haired lady who served us at Breeks. Surely the fault is on the restaurant management who selected their staff poorly but being an outlet at the airport where travellers get their first impression of Singapore, this poor attitude of a wait staff should not be tolerated. If Changi Airport has any control over this, a very strong feedback should be given to Breeks management to transfer this lady to other outlets if they even bother to keep her as a staff after this feedback.
