First visit to this cafe after sunday service today. It is a farewell thrown by my cell group from Christ Methodist Church, for my husband who will be re-locating to HK for a secondment.
There are >20 of us and we booked the venue upstairs.
FOOD : Their sets are excellent value for money. Much better than Han's, without feeling that you are served mass produced food. Their sirloin pepper steak, spicy dory, mushroom pork chops tasted above average for the price paid.
LOCATION: Located right outside the famous Katong bus-stop (one stop after Katong Shopping Center) . Getting there by bus is easy but parking is a nightmare there. Our friend booked upstairs of the pre-war shophouse. It is an excellent place for holding a private function if you have 30 to 40 headcounts.
DECOR : Simple and functional. Warning...plastic chairs are a trifle too light and can topple easily. Modern decor.
CONCLUSION: Great place for family outings, and friends without burning a big hole in the pocket. Would I come back again ? Absolutely! Especially when u live in the East Coast area. It definitely beats eating in food court !!
