“Best Shanghai Dim Sum in town, poor service”

As a Shanghainese, or any one who spent a few years in Shanghai, Ding Tai Fung is not acceptable! Their Xiao Long Bao is not authentic at all, and hence you will never see queues in any of their Shanghai branches. Pu Dong's Xiao Long Bao and Pan Fried Xiao Long Bao is probably one of the best in town! The Pan Fried ones are very similar to the super popular "Xiao Yang Sheng Jian" in Shanghai. Overall, the business is very good during weekends, so if you are seeking for delicious Shanghai Dim Sum, a good place to go. The service need to be improved.

Was very unhappy at the price paid for dinner. $42 per person, because the small plate of shrimp cost $40. Even a small plate of vegetables cost $28. They had tables free but said they were full when called. We decided to try anyway and got a table easily. Looks like they don't want repeat customers. I would stay away if I were you.

This place used to be a hidden gem, in the basement of a suburban mini-mall. Delicious (and different) fish head soup. The best xiǎolóngbāo in Singapore. Well, on our recent visit, the skin on the xiǎolóngbāo is too thick to qualify as good; the (formerly flavourful) noodles with meat sauce are no better than what you can find in an average hawker stall; and worse, the chicken in one of the dishes is still with RED BLOOD (see photo)!! Looks like the old chefs have retired!

Small place tucked away at the basement of Balmoral Plaza. Recommend the fish head soup, xiao long bao, fried french beans, braised brinjal and pork balls. They also do a good la mian - try it with the deep fried pork ribs
