The first view of the restaurant is stunning – a Mark Twain era steamboat? Docked in the South pier at Singapore? Surreal. The rocking made me lose my bearings. Hello seasickness. But the warmly lit interior of the restaurant on the boat’s main deck is comforting and I slowly get used to the swaying and my insides settle down. Coming to the food. Mushroom soup (****) and vegetable tacos (****) and a side order of grilled veggies (****). Enchiladas (****) and fajitas (****) and tacos (****). Everything is fresh and flavourful.
Finally a cappuccino (****) that’s better than anything in a coffee chain! More at arunsikka.blogspotcom.
What’s the downside? The upside – location – is also in some ways a downside. A long last mile! From Marina Bay MRT bus no. 402 – infrequent – or a longish walk if you don’t want to take a taxi.

Well let me say, coming from the South part of Texas, this is not Tex-Mex like we know it. First of all, if you are claiming Tex-Mex, you do not call your restaurant Santa Fe. If you are from Texas, you know why. Santa Fe Mexican food is totally different from Tex-Mex. So right there is a hint.

Its not that the food is bad its ok, but there are better Tex-Mex in Singapore. This is more of an American Restaurant that has a few options that are Tex-Mex style. Like I said its not bad, but if you are from Texas and living here and or visiting, look for the other restaurants on the island that are better representation of Tex-Mex, that also have better pricing.

But it is located in a nice area of Singapore. Service is same as at any other restaurant here. Just wanted to warn those that are looking for real Tex-Mex this is not it.

We went to Santa Fe TexMex grill at a new location on Cuppage road and while it wasn't on a boat, the food was delicious!! The ambience was nice although the service was a bit slow. Great place to go for mexican food in Singapore.

Great place. Superb ambience, very kid friendly, good food and reasonable service. We were a bit worried with the rocking bit but our fears were unfounded. Got used to it in minutes. The margaritas were nice and so were the fajitas. Reasonably priced too. Would certainly recommend for the experience.

We decided out of the blue that we would like to have Tex Mex and found the restaurant on the internet. We went there on a Saturday night.
The restaurant is on an old riverboat at the South Pier. We took a taxi there and first thought we lost our way - not many people seem to know that the restaurant is there, and the area is not that accesible ( although close to the gardens on the bay that just opened - so maybe that will change things)
The restaurant has booths all around the sides of the ship, and tables that can be shifted together in the middle.
The menu is a typical tex mex menu, with fajitas, grill, marguaritas etc.
The restaurant was about half full, including a large party with some children, and the service was good and friendly.
Music does not play to loud, the boat rocks gently and it is a good place to have table conversation.
We ordered a pound of fajitas to share, and that was excellent. The meat was just done right, and came with nice caramelised onions. The side dish ( sour cream, salsa, salad and cheese) was rather small, but ok.
I am normally not for themed restaurants, and I don't think that the restaurant website does the restaurant a favour, but this was an unexpected pleasure: away from the city hustle and bustle, not to loud, good food and different setting.
Worth a repeat...
