Great food, ordered the duck confit. Tasted good crispy skin, meat was tender and still succulent. Another dish was the angel hair seafood pasta, not particularly to my taste but it was still ok. Overall enjoyed the food.

We've been going to Bonta since it opened five years ago and it as good as ever. Would always recommend asking Chef Luca 'what is good' rather than just ordering from the standard menu. Wine prices are reasonable (for Singapore) and the layout is much better since the refurb the other year. A good stalwart.

This is a great little restaurant and we have been going there for years. It is simple food but tastes really good. Only problem is it is way too expensive and if Chef Luca is not around service is very slow and somehow the food does not taste as good. Their wine list is one of the best in town. They have very good selection of Italian wines.

My friend and I dined there on a Saturday night in end-March 2012. We were seated outside, because we were unable to get seating inside, and barely managed to get a seat outside. But when we reached there, there were quite a few empty tables outside. Hmm... Thankfully it a cool evening, so it wasn't too bad, otherwise eating dinner in sweltering heat can be quite unpleasant.

It was my first visit there and my friend's second visit. My friend is vegetarian and has limited choice, however the fact that he wanted to go back shows he liked what he ate. They serve a cheese stuffed bread as you are seated, served hot and fresh which quite lovely (although i am personally allergic to cheese).

Anti-pasta - Wagyu Beef Carpaccio & Buffalo Mozzarella, brilliantly done, & very well served. Main course - Risotto Porcini Mushroom and Home-Made Gnocchi, similarly excellent done and served. The portions are just right IMO.

The risotto selection is small (only 2 on the day we went) and special orders were not entertained, which was not so great. Service was good. The wine list was extensive, and expensive.

We went inside to use the restroom and saw the inside was really small, and there was a 30-people group dining there which made it really noisy.

The "smoking" section of the restaurant is 2 tables for 2, set right next to the non-smoking section, which I thought made no sense.

Will I go back? Yes, for the food, and with fingers crossed so there isn't a large group dining inside.
