The direction of the hotel is missing if you go from Terminal 2. There is no proper indication where the hotel is situated. Since Ive stayed in the hotel before, I managed to locate the hotel based on memory. The management of the hotel should make an effort to have some sort of direction / indication so patrons will not be lost. (Direction : Head towards MRT Changi Station and cross the 'walkaway' to reach the hotel. The hotel can be reached via an escalator or elevator at the end of the walkaway.)
Stayed 1 night in this hotel flying in from a late SQ Flight from Bali before travelling the next day to catch the connecting flight. The check in process is pretty quick and that is a relieve. The room that I was given was on the high floor and away from the elevator. Since Im only transiting for the night, I travel with essential items only. Expect all the toiletries to be provided by the hotel. Well the hotel does not disappoint. All the essential items are available to freshen up although the toothpaste brand used is very questionble ('A.ME Toothpaste' - Generic China Brand?!) The room itself is clean, modern and simple in design and yet it is so comfortable The room is equipped with free WiFi, a working table, a 'lounge' chair and a Sony Speaker that can connect to your Smartphones or your iPad via Bluetooth and the normal coffee and tea making facility. The LCD is a norm nowadays in any hotel and although the room is equip with one, the channels provided are not that impressive.
The bed is really comfortable and I managed to get a good a few hours of rest and sleep. That is really important for a transit hotel. I did ask for an early wake up call and they did just that. Once by an automated system and the next is a follow up call which is in my opinion a nice gesture especially for patrons who are trying to catch an early flight. I would like to suggest for the hotel to have a flight departure / arrival information at strategic location around the hotel and this would be an added advantage to assist passengers in knowing the up to date status of their flights.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Since the hotel is not a Certified Halal Kitchen, I stick to the fruits, bread and vegans dishes. :( Checking out is speedy and went to Changi Airport Terminal 2 via Terminal 3 and still have time to shop around before catching the next connecting flight.
Since this is the only nearest hotel available at Changi Airport, you cannot go wrong with this choice for its convenience. But if you are on a budget, better get an alternative since this goes for around the luxury price of US$400 a pop.
