They have the best cappuccino in town, and a attentive (sometimes slow) service. But, when you pay S$40+ for a simple breakfast for 2, you start wondering, if you are in Tokyo's Ginza, instead of a neighborhood bakery!

When the food arrived, I was quickly reminded why its called Simply BREAD here. Every dish had bread, even the eggs came with bread. The home made Ciabatta was really good no doubt, and goes really well with eggs in the French Toast. The combination was fluffy and light, not overly eggy and goes really well with the butter and maple syrup provided. Bacon was the crispy variety that crumbled really easily, overly crisp for my taste but I know some people like it this way.

Good baked bread and decent croissants ( although not the true buttery kind, but rather the health conscious kind) and coffee is acceptable ( cappuccino pretty good).

French toast was cooked oil instead of butter - this is not French toast, but rather 'Chinese toast'. Made it too soggy and with the wrong flavour. Grilled breast beef was goo - using walnut bread was not the right choice though - flavours of walnut and mustard don't belong together.

All up, a pretty decent effort, but struggling to get the true flavour/experience of the dishes they are serving. Bring in an expat wife and she'll show you how in just be morning's advice.

This place does very good bread and coffee. Breakfast omelette simple but great value. Sandwich's are fresh and delicious although they could over a slightly more diverse menu. Especially with the pastries. It's fine for your first few visits but after awhile you may long for some different items to try. Service is always excellent

Small, minimalistic and very busy on weekends. Simply bread has a great concept of good bread, pastries and brunch with little extra frills. Can be quite packed on sundays, come early.
