If you enjoy sleeping to the sound of drilling and hammering all night long then avoid this hotel until November. The noise is unbearable during the daytime and loud enough at night so you are constantly awoken by it. There is no mention of the construction on the website, booking confirmation or email prior to our stay. When we checked-in we were told by staff that the construction would be from 9am-6pm. At 8pm Friday night we complained as we were all exhausted from a day at Universal Studios and at 9:30pm after we were told by the manager that he didn't have the power to stop the foreman as "they were on a tight schedule." He also offered us another room but admitted that the noise difference would be minimal.

We were shocked. The whole situation smacked of greed (get some cash in the door by opening up one wing of the hotel) and utter indifference to their guest's comfort. It's amazing that the owners/management would be willing to do this to the hotel's first round of guests. I guess they never heard "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." Or more likely, they simply don't care. So we packed up our kids who were completely overtired by then and went home where thankfully we got a good night's sleep. Luckily we had this option although most of the other guests were from overseas.

Room: small so not much space other than the bed. The beds are comfortable but slightly on the hard side. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely bath. The tiled wall separating the bathroom and shower is flimsy. The back of the hotel faces a bus bay.

Location: great location as it's across from the monorail and Merlion, also walking distance to close to Universal Studios and Resorts World.

Service: staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and check-out. Unfortunately the management did not prep staff properly as we were given wrong/misleading information about the noise. Lack of respect for guests as 24 hour construction is not acceptable - who cares if the hotel is behind schedule.

Even if the hotel was completely finished, I do not think it deserves a 5 star rating and would much rather stay at the Capella for luxury, Rasa Sentosa for family or the Sentosa (formerly Beaufort) for a boutique stay. At this price point, it is poor value.

Room Tip: Don't stay at this hotel until renovation is over in November.

I only stayed 1 night at this hotel, but would definitely recommend it. As others have said, it's in a great location - walking distance to many attractions and transport options on Sentosa. My room was really nice, very clean and a good size. The bed was very comfortable too. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. After checking out in the morning, one of the managers arranged for me to use a spare room to take a shower in the afternoon prior to my flight back to Sydney, which was fantastic.

I recently stayed here for a night with two kids. The location is great and the rooms are really comfortable and clean. Couldn't fault the rooms. Especially liked the Nespresso coffee maker! Nice touch! However only the new part of the hotel is finished and it is just one big building site from the outside. Quite off putting! Also although the pool was nicely designed it is tiny and there are only 8 sun beds for the whole hotel! And these sun beds are IN the pool. There is no seating area down there that isn't submerged in water so totally unsuitable if you have a baby in a stroller as I did. It's a really strange design and not designed with kids and families in mind at all (nor for more than 8 guests wanting to use it!). Breakfast was nice but found the staff disinterested and unhelpful. One waitress watched me struggle with the baby and plates of food to get through a heavy glass door to my table with no help. Also the dining room was full (it's small) so we had to sit outside in the baking sun with little shade for the kids.

I wouldn't stay again,

Was given the room away from the construction site but the noise could still be heard until close to 9pm! Although the room looked pretty new n comfortable, the air con didn't work well (it was either too warm or too cold) so I was kept awake the whole night. The sliding door dividing the bedroom n the bathroom has a partial see thru screen (so be careful to cover urself well b4 coming out fr the shower room) n it has a large gap on top so it doesn't shut the noise fr the shower room or fr the flushing of the toilet bowl. Very poorly designed.
The location of the hotel is great though. 2 mins walk to the Imbiah monorail station n u can also get a picturesque photo spot of the Merlion (halfway pt between hotel n monorail station).

We only had the one night at this hotel and arrived quite late. The desk staff were super friendly, super helpful and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble and they had great senses of humour. The room had a terrible view or a carpark but as the hotel was partially under construction, we didn't seem to mind too much. The king size bed is quite possibly the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in, it was amazing, great work Movenpick. The location of the hotel is perfect for Sentosa, right opposite the Merlion and the free monorail, and the main entrance to all the fun things to do on Sentosa such as the sky tower, cable cars etc etc. There are only about four stops on the monorail so not far to anything really, other than the awful walk up to the tree trapeze area, in hot weather that was a killer, but you can jump on a cart for a small fee.
There was one negative to this hotel, the breakfast was pretty poor, a lot of the nice things like bacon and hash browns were in an open bowl under a heat light so were cold. The wait for eggs to be cooked was pretty slow too and as we were towards the end of breakfast, a lot of the items like steamed dumplings were not being replenished.Checkout for this hotel was 12pm and we didn't fly til midnight so we asked to leave our bags and due to the heat that day, asked if it were possible to perhaps have a shower, they said they would sort something out. When we came back to hotel that evening, sweaty and exhausted, the wonderful staff gave us the key to a room, which they had sent our bags to, to go and shower and freshen up for our long flight back to Australia. I have seen a couple of reviews here saying the customer service was poor, we found it to be the complete opposite. the staff were wonderful. We only stayed here by accident due to booking wrong flights so having to stay in Singapore and extra night but we would very much recommend this hotel, it will be even better when the new wing is finished.

Room Tip: Don't think any rooms really offer views, if you are after views either go out or book another hotel.
