It is far below expectation, there is one area for living butterflies and the rest is all a museum, only 10 kind of butterflies are available, the place is far below standard as if its not in Singapore, its nice to go but I don't think people should go if they have limited time

You will see only a few living creatures. Most anaimals in this " kingdom" are dead, pinnend on canvas. You can save your money for a visit in the Night Zoo. There you will definitivly see more butterflies than here.

My toddler loved the tree house in the butterfly park. The stairway up had no railings but it added to the thrill. She quickly spotted the colorful butterflies and was not scared of their relatively large size.

We also saw a toucan, several parrots, a duck, a slimy iguana and a huge walking bird (which we were told was a pigeon?!!!!).

The insect kingdom was an indoors display. We didn't enjoy the experience as it was badly lit, not very well maintained and had a musty smell.

Tip: For the photography session, take the single person shot, as it will be superimposed with butterfly wings. Cute souvenir for just S$10. My toddler kept asking me to buy her the wings! (Now that would be a cool item for the souvenir shop to carry!)

Having just visited the Butterfly park at Phuket, which had a surprisingly large variety of butterflies and an excellent educational section, the Butterfly Kingdom in Sentosa was a total let down. We paid an entry fee of $16 per adult and $10 per child, which added up to $52 for 4 of us, which was exorbitant for what we got.

What we saw inside was a rather small and poorly maintained butterfly area with 3-5 easily observable different species with only a few actual butterflies around. The upshot was the lovely staff in this section who volunteered to pick up butterflies and place them in our kids' hands, which they were thrilled by. This area was followed by an aviary with a few large parrots and an iguana that you can take pictures with. For a small fee, you can purchase some bird feed. There is a small walkabout with a murky pond filled with the random turtle. This led to a corridor with some tanks with dung beetles, scorpions, and some other insects. Overall, the place felt run down and a little grimy - there were broken butterfly wings littering the walkways and a generally tired feel to the place. It took us only 25 minutes to cover the whole thing, before we stepped out thinking...boy was that a waste of $$.

Spend your $50 on the luge. It's definitely more enjoyable and for the same cost, you get 8 rides on the luge and 8 rides on the sky ride. It took us 1 hour to cover, and was so much more satisfying!

You will be amaxed by the colours of the insects here. The kids will love it but just dont be too hasty as you may tread on the butterflies. They have "fruit stations" throughout which enables you to take photos and its quiet an experience for the whole family
