It's an amazing experience for the whole family especially for children. Although the collection of Marine life is limited, the presentation is quite impressive. The Maritime Museum is a good bonus and is quite an eye opener for school going children.
But, like almost everything else in Singapore, it is always crowded and takes a lot of time to get through. We visited the Aquarium on a Friday (normal working day) morning and although we had booked tickets online, it took us almost an hour to finally get in. Once inside, there were just too many people and there was very little place to sit when we wanted to take a break. We finished the Aquarium and then spent an hour trying to find a place for lunch and then another hour to actually get our food.
The weather was hot and sunny and that drains a lot of your energy and patience.

Sentosa has lot to offer, it has Universal Studios (with amazing rides for both kids and adventorous, here you can re-live the famous hollywood movies of Mummy, Jurrasic Park, Waterword, Transformers, Star Wars, Madagascar etc). Sentosa also has Images of Singapore which provides a sneak peek of Singapore History. It also has the famous Merlion where you can capture memories of Singapore through photos. Lastly you have a spectacular sound, light and music show called Songs of the Sea which would be a great loss if you miss it.

It is certainly the case that this COULD be almost worth the $29 entrance fee. There's plenty to see, the displays are informative and you could spend ages viewing the giant 'window' with its thousands of fish.
What I can't fathom though is WHY DID THEY BOTHER BUILDING THIS?! I personally found 'Underwater World', also on Sentosa, to be just as good if not better (pink dolphins show & longer underwater tunnel!).

The fact that the displays are decent is the only reason this place is getting 2 out of 5...the experince itself is a minus score!!

Firstly, we joined the queue (a long one) with a sign saying there would be a 35-45 minute wait. Despite the fact that much of the line was out in the hot midday sun (owing due to aesthetic design of the building, rather than practical consideration) we waited. However, upon finally getting to the front of the line we were told there was ANOTHER line inside, again with a more than 35 minute wait. "Do you still want to buy tickets?" says the girl aka: "do you want to waste 45 minutes and not get in, or waste 1 1/2 hours and get in?".

Once inside, the aircon did nothing to cool our already flared tempers. So many people were crowded into the place they were literally pushing each other along the narrow tunnels. Trying to get a glimpse of any of the smaller tanks was nigh on impossible. There were just far too many people, all pushing and shoving with no consideration for others. And still more poured in behind us to 'sweep' the mob along. It wasn't until the large viewing gallery, 1/2 way through, that I could finally stop and stand without being trodden on, elbowed or shoved. Although I enjoyed looking into the large window, I actually spent so much time in this room not because of the view, but due to my reluctance to undergo a second round of punishment!

Simply, if RWS admitted only 1/3 of the people they did, then this place wouldn't have been too bad. But, like most other things on Sentosa, it's all about $$$ for the owner and cramming in the visitors. The venues narrow corridors, predominately small viewing tanks and the fact you actually need to be close to the tanks to see anything make this place a nightmare on busy days.

DO NOT GO HERE ON WEEKENDS OR SCHOOL-HOLIDAYS! Also, Underwater world is not only cheaper, but in my view a much better aquarium anyway.

We got our tickets for S.E.A. Aquarium under Changi Recommends package at the airport. We were told that this is the newly opened attraction in Sentosa and is a must-see. Since we were already there for Universal Studios, this was a good side trip.

Here's a tip, when you get to Sentosa and it's too hot to walk around Universal Studios, do this first! The place is air-conditioned and is perfect for when you have kids. I had a one-year-old and she really enjoyed watching the gigantic aquarium. We also spent a lot of time around the sea jellies, they just mesmerized her.

They have a good mix of different sea creatures and the staff is pretty knowledgeable, they will give you a lot facts about the different fish there. Its a great place for kids and adults alike.

SEA maritime - Sadly this was not as good as the rest of the Resorts World. Clearly a great deal o.f money has been invested and doubtless it will pay back if the number of visitors is anything to go by. There were so many that most children would not see most fish and some children would see nearly none. It was difficult for kids to get near the front of each tank or to touch where it was permitted. The initial tunnel has an electric walkway alongside the static area but it was not working. Maybe fir safety reasons as there were far too many people. However I see from a previous review 24 Feb that it was not working then. I do think that if there had been 30 percent fewer people inside it would have been really good but at 29 dollars per adult plus 20 for kids over 4 and seniors it was too expensive fir what we were able to enjoy. Sorry. I think the sea life are fanulous but they have much more space than the payers visiting
