The place is really, really nice and clean. Although the temperature in Singapore is almost the same as in the Philippines, the very good establishments and structures makes up for the warm weather. Also, it is really nice and clean.

There's plenty of fun and attractions at sentosa, officially known Resorts World Sentosa...with the casino and Universal Studios..lots of restaurants and shops, you can easily fill in a couple of days here at Sentosa.
Your first port of call here would be Universal Studios, which on level one, takes up a lot of area, and the entrance just to get in is huge. The huge Univeral globe is the main feature here that continually rotates and is a gem of a photo opportunity.
Outside the main entrance are retail shops like Hersheys, 7eleven, Garrett Popcorn...but if you are wanting just a small bag of caramel popcorn or any flavour...they will not make a small bag.
My wife asked for a small bag but was sternly told by staff we only do the $8 bag as the smallest..and it's a bag that will last one person for two or three days. Not good customer service.
The Universal Studios souvenir stalls, guest services counter ancd reception are all outside the main entrance.
The mono rail stops nearby, but at weekends, as we experienced, the line up for the monorail can be sometimes very long, and they squeeze you in the best they can to get you back to Singapore city.
Sentosa Souvenirs has a handful of interesting souvenirs, but you will probably find better at Bugis Markets in the city.
Around the area of the casino is interesting, and the entrance to go in is well secured, but very attractive, along with Hotel Michael and Festive Grand Theatre. Walk along to Malaysian Food Street and next to that is the Sentosa visitor centre.
Hop on the monorail and go down to Beach Street and check out all the attractions down by the beach, and take the walk to Merlion up through some interesting waterfalls and gardens.
Totally enjoyed the day at Sentosa, but you need plenty of refreshments, it is very hot and humid and there seems to be no escape from the heat, unless you go inside an air conditioned building somewhere!!
I noticed the Coke stand and refreshments stand outside in the mall area were charging over $8 for a small iced coke, inside Universal Studios at Mel's Diner..an iced coke large was $3.25!! If you are on your way to Universal Studios, then get your drinks when you are in theme park.
The walk up to the Merlion replica was interesting, again very hot day, and you can actually go inside the huge statue and up more stairs and look out through Merlions eyes!
Refreshing pools and waterfalls seem to have the cooling effect as well!
A souvenir shop at the base of Merlion is full of plenty of souvenirs of Singapore and a small coffee bar with snacks and drinks is also there.
Make it a must visit when in Singapore, it is well worth it, and this where Singapore truly shines.
Check out any major activities before going over to Sentosa. We got caught up with the fact the BirdMan Rally was on and attracted over 35,000 apparently, but yes, there were big crowds anyway, to Sentosa to watch the event. Not knowing what was going on, the line ups for the monorail and taxis were incredibly long, and caused long delays getting anywhere. So just check before you go if it is a weekend, other than that, there wouldn't be too much of a problem.

I liked the development so much, it is really a great place to spend your time, the hotels, restaurants, play areas for children, he waterfront, the retail area. Everything was designed perfectly. The casino and the theme park add so much to it also. It is really a must visit place.
