“Educational Fun for the Kids”

The Sentosa Nature Discovery is housed in a disused Sentosa Monorail station in the Imbiah attractions cluster. I wouldn't spend too much time on exhibition panels in the gallery area. Instead, be sure to head out on the discovery trail (accessible from the main gallery area), which used to be the train tracks for the former Sentosa Monorail. The raised trail brings you to eye level with the tropical rainforest foliage around the attraction. I've visited the attraction several times, and on each visit, I would see something different while out on the trail. Once I saw a group of ants building a nest, another time I witnessed a butterfly emerging from its cocoon.

“Mosquitoes, Interesting, Eco-friendly-bare-minimum”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

This use to be a monorail station. If you're like me and like to reminiscence the old days of Sentosa, this is a must visit place. It's free, but do be prepared to bring a cap and mosquito repellent. Lots-lots of mozzies..

There's a simple exhibit, good for kids to visit and learn new things.

“Lame Centre but Great Exploration Trail”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

At first glance this attraction was nothing more than an empty "educational centre" with nothing much to see or do. But then we had a walk along the walkway trail. Before we knew it we were getting lots through the thick woodland and going deeper into the jungle like environment. We didn't see much in the way of wildlife, however we could hear lots, in fact at times the noise of creatures in the undergrowth was deafening! Be aware that the trail goes go rather off road and is in no way suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or for people with walking problems. The ground can get uneven and possibly muddy when its wet. The trail has many trails leading off in different directions that will lead you to different parts of the island. It was good for a bit of an adventure, even though we didn't really have a clue where the trial was taking us. After about a twenty five min walk we emerged over near our hotel at the Shangri Las Rasa Resort on Siloso Beach. We would love to explore more of these exotic looking trails in future visits. Though the trails are not necessarily part of this particular attraction, it does seem like a good place to start. The route first takes you along where the old monorail ventured before going deeper into the greenery and past waterfalls and under tree arches. It's a nice little adventure and well worth a walk if you are feeling in an adventurous mood. And it's free, which is even better!

“My wonderful one day at Sentosa, singapore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

During my visit to Singapore, I spent one day at Sentosa. Sentosa is an island which lately got a road built to connect Singapore. We travelled from Singapore to Sentosa by cable car which took about 15-20 minutes. The travel over the sea in cable car (Rope way) is a different experience than my several cable car experience on mountains and valley. Under neath we saw many ships and hangers. The tides looked beautiful.

Sentosa has a lot of amusements. The sea beach it self is very beautiful. We saw dolphin show, the museum etc. Its full of greenary and excellent climate to enjoy.
