We booked a 3D/2N package which included breakfast, tickets to Universal Studios Singapore, SEA Aquarium and Adventure Cove. The tickets to the 3 attractions were not open date and we had to pre-book when we wanted to use them when we made payment for the package.

Check-in was a little slow as they didn't have sufficient staff on hand to clear the queue, though I must say that the experience is different as you are seated during the entire time compared to the check-in at other hotels where you be standing.

The room and bathroom was nice and big. The view from my room was great overlooking Adventure Cove and the main land but that was it. Quality of the toiletries were of poor standard. Funishings in the rooms were of poor workmanship - the sofa had nails sticking out at one end. TV offerings were very limited and if you want movies, you would have to be prepared to pay. This also applies to Wi-Fi access which is unheard of nowadays except at budget / no-frills hotels. The room only had a couple of coffee mugs and the mini-bar was limited to just beer and soft drinks. No wine glasses, corkscrew, no hard liquor that you would expect from a hotel such as this.

On the good side, the hotel does offer shuttle services to the other hotels and attractions within Resorts World Sentosa. There is a service every 15 minutes but be early to avoid disappointment. My only complain about the service is that it only starts at 10am which is when most attractions open. But kudos to staff who were pro-active to offer us a buggy ride on the day we were meant to have breakfast at Universal Studios before it opened.

I personally wouldn't rate this hotel as a 5-star establishment.

Room Tip: Both facings are good. The room I got faced Adventure Cove and the Singapore main land whereas the...

Me and the family (wife+1kid+1infant) stay there in deluxe room @ 6th floor for 2 nights on Oct 7 to 9, 2013.
The room is big and clean. The spacious bathroom has separate shower and toilet area with the huge bathtub and also a LCD TV. The location of the hotel is a little bit far from central of the RWS or Universal Studio Singapore, but it should not be a problem since the RWS provide the guest with free shutle bus every 15 minutes and in my opinion the location of this hotel makes it more exclusive compare with the family crowded Festive Hotel or Hard Rock Hotel. The food in Forest Restaurant also excellent, pricy but worth the taste.
I will probably return to stay in this hotel again if visiting RWS & Universal Studio Singapore with the family. Very recommended.

For the positives:
1. The room is big and clean! Everything about the room is huge - huge bathroom, huge tub, huge bed, huge space :) The room is spic-and-span
2. The ambiance is far more relaxed vs the other resorts inside Sentosa.
3. The food selection for the breakfast buffet is good enough.
4. The shuttle comes every 15 minutes, and since this is the farthest among all the hotels, you usually get a vacant shuttle to take you to Universal.
5. The housekeeping staff are very polite and helpful. We asked for ice, they sent us a huge bucket full of it! :)
6. The USD to SD exchange rate is good enough. Exchange rate at the bank in fact was even lower.

For the negatives:
1. THE CHECK-IN PROCESS IS SOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!! And to think that there was only one other person checking-in!!!! It took them about 5 minutes to notice us standing in front of the counter. Then when it was our turn to be attended to, the front desk personnel kept on talking to each other about other matters. The person attending to us even entertained a colleague looking for a stapler!!! And they looked for one for a few minutes, totally putting our transaction on hold! The whole process took about 30 minutes!

Since we arrived at 11am, we were not yet allowed in, which was ok. However, when we came back at around 3:30pm, we were asked to FALL IN LINE BEHIND 5 OTHER PEOPLE CHECKING-IN! Why can't we be just given our key????? It would not be such a hassle if people at the front desk were working fast and efficiently, BUT THEY WERE NOT. They were as distracted as the people earlier!!!

So when my turn came, THEY ASKED US FOR OUR PASSPORT AND CREDIT CARD AGAIN!!! WHY??? WHY do we need to go thru the same process again??? I already have the receipt in hand, why do you need to subject me to the passport and credit card check again? The passport I understand, BUT THE CREDIT CARD, WHY????

2. The shower does not actually turn hot. It was only the tub's hot water that functions well.

3. For its price, the toiletries are not up to par... just generic stuff... the only one with a brand name is a teeny-weenie Plax mouthwash

4. When we first boarded the shuttle, I told my husband that maybe we should make a round trip to familiarize ourselves with the area BUT THE DRIVER KEPT ON ASKING US TO ALIGHT!!! WHy??? Isn't the shuttle going around and around anyway???? He was so rude and asked us to go down at Hotel Michael!!! We do not understand why he did that to us, because he came back 15 minutes after AND THERE WERE NO OTHER PEOPLE ON THE SHUTTLE! I would understand we were there on a weekend and there were a lot of people, but he came back for us and WE WERE STILL THE ONLY ONES ON THE SHUTTLE!

5. The shuttle driver DID NOT SPEAK A WORD OF ENGLISH! And there was just one. One really rude one!

Stayed here 3 days 2 nights and we booked a King room. However when we checked-in, the King room is not available and so we were upgraded to a direct pool access room which is really nice and very spacious! The twin bed is quite small although we can combined them which is not really an issue.

At that point, it was school holiday in Singapore. & so it was high capacity than normal and breakfast is a bit of a crowd. Every morning we had to wait around 10 mins to get our table but that not seem to be a big of a problem as I can see that the staff are trying their best to accomodate us. But I really hope that the mgmt can improve this as the layout of the hotel does not seem to accomodate large crowd

This hotel is a bit far from the centre of everything. There are 2 way of going abt, either wait for the mini coach every 15 mins or walk which may take you around 10 mins depending where you are going

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay but if given the choice, we would stay nearer to the centre of the Resort World so it would be easier to commute

My recent de-stress break at the Equarius Hotel @ Resorts World Sentosa was indeed an excellent choice. We were personally escorted to our room upon arrival and was impressed with the spacious room with its amazing and serene garden view
Love the elegant room setting with its refined ambience / large bathroom with TV which truly enhances your bath experience
Friendly, warm and helpful staff with their pleasant personality is another plus. We truly had a very private and relaxing stay, lazing around / reading and exploring Sentosa at our own pace

Breakfast was sumptuous and we will definitely be back soon to recharge and stay longer to enjoy their Spa package

As a birthday celebration for my husband we were in Singapore for the F1 with our 3 adult children for 5 day stay. I had booked 2 rooms in the Festive hotel months earlier, but was devastated when we arrived in our room. Maintenance works were underway and the noise was unbelievable.. a jackhammer in the room next door I think. I returned to reception and explained that it was not acceptable and we were very unhappy. After other rooms proved too noisy as well they offered to move us to Equarius. They also upgraded us to garden rooms with a huge balcony.

Best of all at NO stage did they make us feel as if we were difficult or hard to get on with.
We had exceptional service, the staff were friendly and charming and extremely helpful.. sorted tickets and the easy access to the water park, organised a car and driver to go to Legoland recommended restaurants at the resort and in the city.

We decided to have the buffet breakfast each morning..much easier way to feed three strapping young men at the start of the day. The food was great, plentiful with lots of variety.

All the staff.. doormen, shuttle bus driver, cleaners, concierge, wait staff, and all at reception went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We really hadn't planned a resort holiday.. it was all about the Formula 1 when we were making our plans, but it was a fabulous bonus. We saw less of Singapore because we were very content at the resort.
Our sons loved the fitness centre and said it inspired them to train harder

Our only small issue was the quality of the amenities in the bathroom.. I don't like communal soap/bath lotion dispensers. I know it's probably more eco friendly, but I don't want to share with former residents of the room. Also the paper packaging of toothbrushes and shower caps etc looked cheap. They didn't do justice to the quality we saw everywhere else.
But that is only a small observation.

Thank you to all at the Equarius.. we were thrilled with our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the water park/port have a more interesting view, but we also enjoyed our jungle view.
