The hotel stay is not cheap based on original price.
Best to look out for Deal/Groupon, or the Resorts World Sentosa's (RWS) occasional Mastercard promotion.

RWS is rather crowded. But that adds to the holiday and festive atmosphere.

Free admission into Sentosa if you produce your hotel booking papers at Sentosa Island gantries.

Choosing a room
==============

Loved the room!
The Deluxe King Family Suite is well designed. But for the price, it does not provide 5star personalised service, presumably because they have many rooms and guests to take care of. Service is probably 3star.

Hotel wings are L-shaped.
Ask for view of pool with view of the Merlion statue(so it does not face the morning sun).
If you choose poolview (without view of Merlion statue) - the rooms directly face the morning sun and it can get rather blinding for which you need to draw your curtains.

Driving/Parking
========

If you drive in, hotel guests get free parking (get the complimentary parking coupon from concierge – one per day only).

Hotel guests get free tickets to take monorail back into Sentosa (one time only) (Useful if you wanna go to Vivocity on the mainland to eat and come back).

Inside the room
============
For older kids who are 4 yrs and above, they will enjoy using the loft bed (using ladder) – Family Deluxe King.

In the room, there’s King bed, sofabed, and kid’s loft bed.
The sofabed can take a small child and an adult.

King-sized bed is spongy - could not sleep well.
Ironically, I slept better on the sofa bed (which was stiffer and something I am used to) with my child.

Room has shampoo, body gel, toothbrushes/pastes, towels, bathtub, hairdryer, electric kettle.
For comb, you can ask room service.

Icecube machine at lift lobby of each floor.

Welcome drinks (bottled mineral water) available in the room.
Instant coffee/teabag, instant MILO (chocolate drink) available.
Fridge is empty : no in-room bar.

4 pillows in total in the room.

Breakfast
========
Breakfast time at Festive Hotel – best to go when they start at 7.30am.
This is because during peak times, the queue is very long, and the wait is terrible! You will see dismayed faces in the queue. We always make sure we go early from the start.

A variety of food, but food quality is so-so.

Pool
======

Festive hotel has its own pool. There’s shaded cabana huts you can rest in and dump your belongings at. There’s a shallow pool for smaller kids.

Those who stay in Festive Hotel can walk to next door Hard Rock Hotel to use its pool (with sand!!!! Bring your beach toys and digging tools) – quite crowded, so at most we could only find one deck chair for entire family to dump things on.

Best time to go Hard Rock pool is late afternoon. The HR pool faces morning and noon sun which gets very very hot. You can get towels from a counter on the way to the HR pool. Tell them your Festive Hotel room number. There’s shower/changing room at the towel counter.

Food
======

Foodwise, it is quite a long walk to the public shops/restaurants area in RWS – about 10 mins.
But along the way, your young kids will enjoy the escalator ride (with nice digital animations overhead).

Malaysian Food Street (to the left of Universal Studios entrance as you face it) is affordable and food quality is very good. e.g S$4 for Malaccan Chicken Rice Balls with chicken meat, S$5 for Ampang Yong Tau Foo, S$5 for Penang Char Kway Teow. But it gets crowded. We always have to walk to the end then can find empty table/chairs.

Room Tip: Hotel wings are L-shaped. Ask for view of pool with view of the Merlion statue(so it does not face the morning sun). If you choose poolview (without view of Merlion statue) - the rooms directly face the morning sun and it can get rather blinding for which you need to draw your curtains.

We spent 4 nights at the Festive Hotel and loved it. The location, next to USS was great, also easy walk to other Sentosa atractions. As a hotel guest you get a free monorail pass to use when you cross to Vivo City. Having robes and slippers is a nice touch as is having a toothbrush and paste free, they also provide bottled water everyday. Bathroom is nice and large, bed is ooh so comfy... Check in was quick and easy, the staff were freindly and helpfull. You can even buy your Universal Studios tickets at the hotel. I only had one little complaint and that is, there is not enough lighting in the room and felt a bit dark, otherwise, a great stay.

Wonderful 3D2N stay at Festive Hotel. Though not perfect but as long as you keep your expectations in check, it will be up to the mark.
What's GOOD;
Check in was a breeze. Did the smart thing of enjoying a fun morning and lunch at Palawan Beach first with the family before going to check in around 2.45 pm by which time the crowd had cleared.
Rooms were spacious. Got Deluxe and Deluxe Family King connecting rooms for a party of 5 adults and 2 kiddos and there is definitely still room for more. Kids loved running from room to room, and of course especially climbing up and down the loft bed!
No need to eat at the hotels. Lots of food options within short walking distance. Had delicious meals at Malaysian Food Street and Hard Rock Cafe. Would be also good to plan rides on cable car and Sentosa Express to coincide with meal times so that food options at Harbourfront and Vivocity can be explored.
The use of Hard Rock Hotel pool was very much appreciated! Thank you on behalf of my kiddos who enjoyed the sandy beach pool, slide and swim under the bridges.
The ice making machine at the end of the corridor outside the rooms was an ingenious idea. Especially so when the weather was scorching hot during our stay.
Housekeeping was prompt in getting the bedsheets changed when my boy puked on the bed.
Drying rack in the balcony to hang wet clothes was great too!
What's NOT SO GOOD;
Car park was not too accessible. But the complimentary parking more than make up for it.
No security card access to hotel lifts which I thought ought to be mandatory by now for guest safety.
Such a big shower room which is quite a waste of space. Could have made a bath tub to give guests options to soak in the tub as well.

Had a really great time with the family at the beach, visiting attractions, enjoying the hotel rooms and of course dipping in the pool. Certainly a memorable staycation for me and my whole family!

Enjoyed a recent stay at the Festive Hotel Sentosa Resorts World.
Rooms was well equipped. We had a Family King, our nearly 3yr old daughter was able to sleep well in a fold out bed. We actually started with a cot but it was far too small, was'nt charged for the use of it which is rare.
Balcony had a good view, even had a drying rack for clothes.
room size is also pretty good. The room has a bunk bed as a feature, our daughter slept in it during the day, it's far too high o safely leave a small child in it over night... Typical parenting concern!
Hotel pool is very nice, but found NO pool side service available! I had to ask a cleaner if I could get a cold drink... And even then his response yielded no result.
Breakfast was not included in my the package I had, and when we went to the Main breakfast restaurant ("Fiesta") we found it to be a very expensive and very average, for westerners. There was no bacon to compliment a reasonable extensive buffet.
Overall, we were pretty impresseed, the hotel was very helpful, comfortable and family friendly/orientated.
Good pointer- by staying at the Festive, you get access to other facilities in the RWS (Resorts World Sentosa) particularly Hard Rock Hotel. We used their facilities prior to flying out and we were very impressed, the main pool and change room facilities are absolutely awesome. A no brained for people trying to fill in time between check out and flight departure.
Sentosa RWS in general is an awesome spot, very impressed with he overall facility.

Room Tip: If you have a small child (+2) go the slightly larger Family King, it's a good size and caters well to the smaller family.
