“A fantastic Short Gateway”

This is the second time we stayed at RWS - Festive Hotel. Booked Family Deluxe room just nice for the 2 adults and 3 little kids.. My girl loves the loft bed and the two boys slept well on the soft bed..
The hotel room is big and bright.. Whether the room is facing the pool or the mountain, you will sure love the view.. The swimming pools is great for the kids and adults.. and usually not that crowd..
An ideal place for family with kids..

Room Tip: Even number rooms are those facing the pool..

This is the first time we have stayed in a resort hotel and it was great. The kids loved the loft bed. The pool was great but we loved the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel better which we could use as well. They had food and drink service as well as a beach which the kids loved. It was great to be within walking distance to Universal Studios too. Wi-fi was expensive and the TV remote was horrendous. It hardly changed the channels. We had to ask for an extra towel as we were only given 3 even though we checked in with 4 guests. We also had to ask for slippers and robes for the kids. We found out through a lady at the monorail station that the hotel would give us pink tickets for free travel on the monorail. When we asked at reception they gave them to us but it would have been nice to have been given these on checkin. Don't try and check in early either - it is strictly 3pm.

Rooms are of good space for a family of 5. The kids LOVE the bunkbed. Facilities in and around the hotel are well maintained. Love the fact the we can co-use the pools in the vicinity hotels!
The housekeeping is good but I do find it a tad disappointing that for a family hotel, there are only 2 towels alloted to each room and subsequent requests for more towels were rather difficult.
Finally, I could use with a brighter lit room. I know the soft lighting is probably to exude some romance but seriously, I would appreciate some stronger lighting whilst cleaning my kids before bed :)

Room Tip: Go for a poll facing room on a high floor. We saw fireworks on one of the nights from USS!

Booked 2 Family Deluxe room recently for a weekend getaway. Upon arrival we were suppose to queue for check-in however as soon as the counter staff saw too many people were in line, immediately more people came to assist. Check-in was a mere 10mins. Our rooms were assigned side by side as requested! The rooms were huge, with high cellings and like 3 beds. 1 king sized bed, a bunk bed and a sofa bed. 1 downside of it was, most their furniture had small chipped off although the Hotel is new...

Free complimentary mineral water, coffee and tea were provided. The shower was great! Toilet amenities were provided too. However we were unable to request for more towels. When we requested from one of the housekeeping attendent, she wasn't very friendly and told us we could take it from the pool. but to us its not a big deal because there were already 3 towels and we requested it for just incase. The swimming pool was nice too. Overall had a fun time stayed with Festive.

1. Check in allowed from 3pm. It takes 20-30 mins to q and check in. Limited seat at lobby and all occupied. End up I sat and fed my 5 month old bb on the bench for taxi q under the 3pm heat

2. Being told that our room was not ready and gotta wait 45-60mins. It's ridiculous. 1 night stay costs $450 for 22hrs and they just easily shorten it. If we checked out late, there would be additional charges applied. However, it's their right to delay the room handover?!!

3. I asked to talk to the manager on duty and he gave us a room immediately after seeing me gettin angry.  So there is room available. They were just trying their luck to bully innocent customer??!!!

4. It took me a bit of surprise that the room conditions is not that new even though the hotel has been operating not long ago. The marble top surfaces has plenty of water marks. The sound proof is quite poor to prevent noises from the corridor.

Overall it's overpriced and lousy service.  Go Thailand or anywhere for vacation makes more sense. Singaporean can't run customer service with high standard as claimed

We stayed for just a night. Can't say much about the staff because other than the receptionist we never saw anyone. The rooms were good. We had a family room that came with a bunk bed on top. Great if you have kids. The Festive hotel's theme is, well, festive. The rooms, walls, decor is all bright colours like you were in the set of "Madagascar".

In the room, the TV remote was horrible. You had to depress the key till your fingers pained to Use any key. It took me a full 10 mins to figure out how to switch on the tv. The remote didn't work. They don't have a bar even though it says they do. You need to order your drinks or snacks. The mini-fridge isn't stocked. It's empty.

Nothing home to write about. It's certainly not worth the price of the room. I got it as part of a package but otherwise I think it's S$380 or so. But then I guess all hotels in Sentosa are. Too expensive. I'd rather stay on mainland Singapore.

Stay for a night, check-in Sunday, out Monday. If you traveled with kid, make sure to get the free kids welcome pack from the reception counter. Each kid entitled for one welcome pack. It includes a toothbrush, and some small toys. I quite agree with other reviewers, lighting in this hotel is terrible. Corridors are dark, room is so dim and I hardly can read a book. The sofa bed is quite dirty, I would not recommend you to sleep on it unless you can cover it with something. Impressed with their amenities, which comes with 2 packets of MILO (suitable for kids) and some nice tea bags.

From hotel to the Universal Studio is very convenient, just 2-3minutes walk. A piece of advice, you must purchase the USS entrance ticket in advanced at the ticketing counter/online to avoid any long queue. You may apply for their Genting card for the price of $150, and you are entitled for two (2) free adult tickets + 5 express passes + free coffee/tea and get an room upgrade on the spot (subject to room availability) or in the future. Quite a good bargain as normal ticket is already $68 without any express pass.

For those who is driving, you can get a free parking for one time. Meaning, one entry & exit is allowed only which save u at least $26. Just collect the parking ticket at the reception counter during check-out. During check-in time, remember to ask for free monorail tickets from the receptionist. The pass valid for 3 days and it brings you to Vivo city (a shopping mall nearby USS). You may take their free shuttle bus to town as well, but provided you stay for at least 2 night or else, you would have no time to do so many things on only 1 night stay.

Watched the Crane Dance at 9pm at Waterfront. It lasted about 10 minutes. It wasn't anything to shout about, just some lighting show. You can pay a visit if you have extra time. Overall, happy with my stay at Festive Hotel. I got a special discount on room rate, and paid only $200 for a night. Would I stay here again? Certainly if I can get discount again next time. Or else, I don't think I am willing to pay $360+, as the hotel quality is not worth that much.
