Hard Rock Hotel Singapore
Ranked #10 of 13 Hotels in Sentosa Island
Reviewed July 16, 2010

My husband, 14 year old daughter and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for two nights 11 - 12th July, so that we could visit Universal Studios.
Room had a funky, trendy mood - with photos of Jimi Hendrix on the walls. We were originally booked in a room with a pool view, however there were none ready, so we took a room facing the road, which was rather quiet.
We had two double beds, and a pull out bed for our daughter, all were very comfortable.
Room could have been a bit cleaner, floor between beds had not been vacuumed for a while (large clumps of fluff) and there were finger print marks on the windows.
Staff were pleasant and accommodating, they even supplied us with water whilst waiting for our car to take us to the airport.
Pool area looked lovely, but we didn't get to try it.
It was a short walk over to the Forum and Bullring for meals. We went through the hidden alleyways to get through. Had a couple of meals at the Hard Rock Cafe over there, fantastic food, great service.
There was some building work going on at reception, which was deafening whilst walking through.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and would probably stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and were disappointed with the service. They took 3 hours to give us our room. The hotel is probably not geared up at this stage as it seems they have done a soft launch and are all services are not operational as yet. there was no room service for example. The pool area of the hotel was very good though and so were the rooms which were very modern and well designed. The hotel is also a long walk from the main festive walk area as well as the universal studios. Overall the stay was comfortable but we were disappointed with the service.

I spent two days at Hard Rock Sentosa with my wife and kids and I was really a memorable experience. The Check-in was extremely fast though there were many people to check-in at the same time. The lobby had a cool décor and the staff was very attentive and courteous. They were very friendly to the kids.

We got a room which was facing the artificial beach created by the hotel and it looked awesome. This a unique feature of this hotel and kids just love to be there. The moment we checked in the room , my five year daughter took out swimming costume and was there at the pool in the next ten minutes. The Room had a pull out bed and we could make our 9 year was very excited to sleep on that. The rooms were new and the décor was good. The bath was slightly small but it hardly matters.
The dining at the hotel was good as my wife and kids are always in look out for Indian food whenever they are out of country and this hotel had an Indian restaurant right there, Rang Mahal. All the days we were there , we had our meals in the restaurant and believe me, the food was better than the best of the Indian Restaurants in India.
The location of the hotel allows you to access the universal studios and casino both of which are just a few meters away. Further , you could get the entry tickets from the hotel itself which is very comfortable. The only time when I felt bad was when the Casino asked me for the passport for entry into the Casino. This needs to be told to the guests checking in the hotel.

Overall it was an excellent stay and we all thoroughly enjoyed it…

19-20Jun. Arrived the counter at 5.30pm, reception counter, Sabrina, told us there is no more Deluxe-King room available and simply brushed us off by giving us a twin-sharing. Felt that it’s too ridiculous, and insist her to check again. She gave us a black face and went back in for another 5mins. She returned and said that it might be a reservation dept's error, and therefore gave us a 2 complimentary breakfast instead and also claimed that we have a better room, as twin-sharing comes with a balcony facing the swimming pool.

Checked into the room... Room size is reasonably big. Toilet is clean. Planned to spend a night watching World Cup matches but was disappointed that the sound quality is very bad and soft.

On the same night, we called up reception and ask for the price for breakfast buffet. Was given an impression that there is 2 restaurants serving breakfast, one cost $21++ and the other $28++. Simmons “Cool Max” bed is nice to sleep on.

Turned up at the reception counter in the morning and was told that HRH only has one place serving breakfast. Strange? Where is the other place that serves food at $21? Anyway, we joined the long queue for a seat. Food at the buffet counter runs out fast, some without labels, some plates are empty. Service staffs are not observant when we tried to get their attention. One even dropped a pack of sugar onto my plate and apologies immediately. Really got me speechless! Fruit naan taste like eating cardboard. Belgium waffles’ plate is always empty. There is only one machine making 4 waffles at a time, of which it takes 3mins. Everything else is edible and taste is so-so.

Overall, service is considered below average - Lack of smile. Service quality is too lousy and needs alot of improvement. My compliment will be the swimming pool with sand gives you a very relaxing mood, as if you are in some beautiful beach resort. House keeping and Concierge staff are friendly and helpful. Did I forgotten to say that I do not feel the ‘rock star’ at all... the experience is not a fantastic one.

i stay here once a month I have so much credit from gambling my stays are free now. The hotel is great funky with an amazing pool but forget trying to order room service and whats the deal with only one restaurant with the buffet every day like at least change the menu couple times a week. Other then that its great hotel again its pretty much new so i expect them to figure it out the pool is awesome with real sandy beach its pretty cool place i would stay there there are other places to eat around the area all with in 2 min walk
