We came for an company outing. The shifting sandbar is nice but a lot of tourist. You can take a boat by paying around 1,500php or 2,000php after watching the butanding or the gentle giants.

We got there at 7am and it was fine. By 10 am it was like a zoo.
Sooo many people and it was a monday....
The view is good. Snorkeling is so so,, coral isn't great, not many fish. Sand bar is ok, we were at high tide, so didn't see much of the bar.
Water is beautiful, clear, blue and wonderful.
There is one toilet and you pay P10 per visit. The cleaners and those watching the place are like dragon ladies, such terrible customer service. Watch out for the wooden ladder on the other side, has nails sticking out of it. So dangerous, we let them know and they didn't care at all.
Worth a quick trip, But not a long stay. We were supposed to leave at lunch, I called the boatman and got out of there by 10am.

For a small fee, you can take a boat over to this island and swim and sunbath. The water is beautiful and you can get some great photos!

Your visit to Oslob should include this amazing beach! It's one of the best Philippine beaches I've been so far. The sand beach is actually smaller than a volleyball court, but the best part is under water. During high tide (morning to past noon), the water's color rangers from celeste, cyan, turquoise, electric blue to the darker shades of blue! The corals are a bit un-marvelous but worth snorkerling for, nonetheless. During low tide (past 3pm), the sandbar reveals itself!

Roudtrip boat ride for a small group costs Php 1500, plus Php 50 entrance fee as the Sumilon beach is part of a private resort. Make sure to bring water and food. Non-guests cannot buy at the resort.

After diving with whale sharks at Oslob, my GF and I took a trip to Sumilon. It was 1500 peso for the roundtrip boat ride. Having seen pictures before going to the island I was very excited. Upon arrival the water was the same beautiful blue color as the pictures but the beach was very small and the sand bar was under 1M+ of water due to it being high tide at the time. Definitely go at low tide. Maybe go at high tide.
