Had a family trip to bantayan island before going to Camotes island with wife and daughter. Stayed at Anika island resort for 3 days but our daughter wanted to stay longer, unfortunately Anika was already fully booked and we had no choice but to look for another resort nearby. We then decided to look at Abaniko resort next door. Had a look at the rooms and they were just ok, not cosy but reasonable. We had a chat with the lady owner named Joy and the first meeting was ok and she seemed nice so we paid the full amount in advance for the family room we wanted which was a big mistake.
Next day it was raining heavily but we packed our bags and said our goodbyes to Aniko staff which were great staffs, then walked over to Abaniko's but the lady owner would'nt let us in the room insisting we were a couple hours too early to check in even though the room was vacant , ready and it was raining heavy outside. We told her that yesterday she said we can come in anytime but she keeps on saying thats the policy. We said fine but the room was already ready why not just let us in it's only a couple hours early and it's raining, she said on a very condescending tone "FINE I WILL LET YOU IN EARLY BUT I WILL CHARGE YOU 100 PER HOUR EXTRA !" after that tone my family decided not to stay there anymore. Fortunately the security guard from Aniko's saw us walking away from Abaniko's and talked to us, after hearing what happened he called the office from his radio and told us that we were welcome to stay at Aniko's lobby until we find somewhere to stay, he even carried the bags for us. Needless to say we didnt get anything back from the payment we made to ABANIKO. Later on people nearby including the locals and other tourists said that no one wants to stay a Abaniko's because of the owner's poor attitude towards guests.
It's not worth the hassle from this owner. Bantayan Island has great and friendly people unfortunately this person has terrible manners and extemely poor attitude. There are better resorts nearby with great and friendly staff just like locals.

Room Tip: One advice! Don't bother to stay here

We found Abaniko Beach Resort by chance: walking on the seaside. We checked the room, it was clean and nice, so we immediately decided to book it (when we found it we had already a place to stay). Joy, the owner of the resort a very nice person, I am happy to met her. She likes to talk and she is very helpful. She found a cheaper option for us to go to Virgin Island, also she recommended us the beautiful Paradise Beach, when we told her how much we like hidden places with no people. The room's only one drawback was the shower. It was broken, so we needed to use a bucket to wash ourselves. We had a great time there, definitely recommended to the not too picky ones!

Reserved a non-aircon bungalow for 3 nights via facebook and email. It was not peak season so rate was cheaper. Joy, the owner also didn't require down payment, as we were to arrive two days after reservation. Was informed that we'll be getting the bungalow nearest to the beach. Really happy with the room. Everything was fairly clean. Sheets were clean and fresh. Bathroom was spotless. One problem was electric fan doesn't oscillate, so we had to move a bed. It was very near the beach and just maybe a 10-15 minute walk from the port. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Bantayan.

I usually stay in Santa Fe market area when in Bantayan Island, this time I just wanted to try somewhere else and found somewhere looks nice, which is Abaniko.

Abaniko locates on the eastern side of Santa Fe, it maybe 5 minutes by tricycle from the port, and 15 minutes from the market area where most of restaurants and shops are.

I stayed in a fan room, which may be 10 meters away from the beach, but as there's no any other buildings between the beach and the room, so the ocean was clearly visible from the window of the room facing ocean side. The room is relatively new and clean, and has enough space for one or two. It has an attached terrace with table and chairs, which also has nice ocean view.

The beach in front of it is not bad, very quiet, water is clear, and overlooking small islands, but maybe not as nice as gorgeous Sugar beach.
Owners are nice and friendly people, staff is also nice to us.

I heard some leaked sounds of music from somewhere in Anika resort, which continued all night until 6 am. Not very pleasant to be disturbed to listen to the sounds of nature. I can't tell its because of Anika itself or guests of them. Anyway it's not an advantage to having Anika as a neighbor for the people visit Bantayan to relax...

Stayed here a few days in June.
We ordered the biggest room With Kitchen, The refrigerator didnt work properly, so Our beverages had to be placed in the freezer.
We had a barbeque NeXT to Our Bungalow, very Nice. The room were Nice and clean.
Strange that they have the cheapest room just at the Beach? Our room was around 50m from th Beach.
They also had a restaurant, but it looked closed.
The service was just fine.
A good Place to stay, and the prize was very good.

Room Tip: Book the cheapest room if you want to be near the beach
