our favourite resto and deli on the island! It's that simple. Great service, nice food, cool decorations and local flare! Pictures on the walls of the local community from back in the 70's through to today. Amazing!

Had a great meal with good friends while in Boracay. We were disappointed that our favorite Portuguese restaurant had closed (some time ago, apparently), but were told that Dos Mestizos would help us forget.

The small plates and Tapas were all excellent, as was the Sangria. Prices were reasonable and there is a wide selection of choices. The service staff was excellent, they were very friendly and helpful, making suggestions and keeping our glasses full. Will definitely be returning on the next trip.

We didn't order much, just a chicken paella (friends who had dined the night before warned us against the seafood, not that fresh they said), beef salpicado and sopa de ajo. Never mind the other dishes but let's discuss the paella. At P820 for 2-3 pax and I believe 1,400 for the next bigger size, I think this is a bit steep but anyway since we had read so much about it, may as well try it.

We got a very soggy paella laden with way too much green beans on it. I respect that dishes are prepared in different ways in different places but to pay that money for a green bean paella was a bit much.

This paella was also around 2 inches thick, something you will never get in Spain. Real Spanish paellas measure around half that, around an inch think. Being so think, the rice wasn't done right.

Anyway, we got to try this resto but probably won't be back in subsequent trips to Boracay.

Really good and authentic spanish food here in Dos Mestizos Boracay! We ordered salad, chorizo, gambas, and pescado fish. Order the gambas! I recommend it because it is fresh and tasty. Chorizo is also good. However, food is a bit expensive, but worth it. Also service is slow since when we were there, only 1 waiter was serving all tables.

The tapas we order were good. Better than another spanish resto called hola espana. Got chirizo ,only one i didnt like, hard. Callous great. Octopus ok, cold but tasted fresh. The sandwich 240peso but nothing special. Lengua great. Ceasar salad good. 2800 for 4 pax. Stuff squid great. This resto is not for the cheapo. Tapas are meant to be small serving not a meal size. So the reviews about it being small is true. Tapas are 350-400 peso but its worth it. Its like spain in boracay.
