i used to go here very, very regularly, but since i was back earlier this year i noticed the food had gone downhill, culminating in me and my girlfriend getting food poisoning after having breakfast one morning. did this place change ownership in 2009?

We only had lunch here but would definitely go for dinner next time I am in Boracay. The restaurant is really attractive and stands out amongst all the other places in Boracay. It is in D'Mall, on a corner, with bifold doors open on both sides and tables spilling outside giving a lovely indoor/outdoor flow and ambience. Everything is lemon coloured and lemon features heavily on the menu which is just chock full of delicious sounding things - sandwiches, appetisers, mains, puddings - the choices are all yummy. I had a chicken caesar which was really fresh, with crisp lettuce, chunks of chicken, bread cubes, cheese and a nice dressing and came with some grilled focaccia. The mango/lemon crush I had to drink was sublime - so much so, I went back later that day for another one. Coffe was strong and very tasty. We got a lemon tart to take out which was sublime - all bakery goods are made on the premises and the cafe is advertising itself as a franchise - just hope they open one in Manila soon!

This place is hidden in the middle of DMall, it does not look much but take a look at the menu, try the food and sample the cakes. It was for me the best place to eat. Being brits abroad we were struggerling with the food on offer even at the 5 star hotel we were staying at. Try the BLT. They make all their own bread and hand made potato crisps. The menu choice is varied and the home made cakes and pastries were excellent. Finish off your snack or meal with a coffee you wont find better on the Island. This place is not cheap but you pay for what you get and what you get is the flavoursome, fresh and well presented food.

The food at Lemon Cafe is not bad. Its really just a standard western style cafe. The decor is a little souless. Worth a stop if you are at D'Mall for lunch and aren't feeling particularly adventurous. Fruit crushes are great.
