“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

We stayed for 10 nights during Dec-Jan 2014. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were always clean and tidy when we returned from our daily activities. The pool area is great with lots of greenery. Perfect location with the beach and main strip only a 5min walk, however the ally way leading down to the beach isn't that nice after heavy rain, but you have the option of taking a trike or bicycle ride to the end for a few dollars. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Boracay Tropics from the 11th to the 14th December 2013 in their dormitory rooms which accommodated up to 6 people. Upon checking in, we were warmly greeted and welcomed with a refreshing iced tea drink, followed by their famous cucumber and mango smoothie. The service in Boracay tropics is amazing, all the staff were so helpful and even helped us with our (very heavy) bags all the way to our room. I cannot commend the Boracay Tropics staff enough, they are the absolute best! They're so friendly, polite, courteous and helpful with everything. Our dormitory room was picture perfect and it looked exactly the same as the photos on their website. The rooms were very modern, and more importantly clean and spacious for our family of 6 people. Buffet breakfast was included with our accommodation every morning, and let me tell you.. the breakfast is amazing! There was a mixture of authentic Filipino food, American food, assorted fruits.. everything! I always looked forward to waking up each morning just for the breakfast! This resort is only about a 2 minute walk to the beach and about 10 minutes away from D'mall. Overall I would definitely come back to this resort and I will recommend this place to everyone! Very very happy with the service, thank you Boracay Tropics!

Room Tip: Dorm rooms are perfect for large families and a group of friends

We stayed here for 2 weeks during December and really enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are large and clean. The hotel is located off the main road and the beach is 5 minutes walk away. The road leading to the beach is not very nice especially when it has rained the previous night as it floods, and it is very uneven as there are potholes everywhere, so it's not pleasant. There is a good selection of Western and Asian food on offer at breakfast. My son had a great time in the pool. There has been mention of road noise, but we didn't really hear it as we had a room facing the pool. Overall, we would recommend this hotel to families.

We stayed at Boracay Tropics with Family and friends on Dec 19 to 21st. When we checked in, we were welcomed with a very nice ice tea drink which was perfect for the weather and our thirst after a long journey from Manila. it was what we needed!
Our Dormitory room which is at 701 was very spacious and has a very pleasant fixtures and bedding. The swimming pool is spacious enough for our family and friends and the surrounding plants and trees made the ambiance cool and very relaxing. The Resort is a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants in the area.
Breakfast was included in our accommodation and is quite enjoyable as it comprises of hot meals, fruits, cereals, sticky rice, congee etc. which is quite generous and was enjoyed by the whole family.
I will always go back to this place. Well done to your staff for being friendly, courteous and helpful. I will always recommend this place to anyone I know. The best service ever!

My 6th trip to and I wanted to try this hotel based on good reviews.

Service: I cannot comment on the service because I didn't ask for any extraordinary request from the staff. But the employees in the hotel are polite.

Hotel: Lobby is small and so is the check in counter. There is a long line waiting to check in and out.

Rooms: We had 2 rooms and they were ordinary. We were given rooms facing the alley and it was so noisy. I can hear trike running, people talking, drunk shouting and arguing. I wasn't able to sleep well during my entire stay. Other than that, I can also hear the TV and the conversation of guests next door. Linens were kind of old.

Location: This is my main concern. The hotel is around 7 minutes walk to the beach and 15 or so minutes to D' mall. Walking is fine if the weather is cool. But it was sunny during our stay. And the alley to the beach is not paved well.

We stayed with Tropics for 5 days. This was a last minute trip. The hotel ensured we got the best rooms. Our initial room was facing the road and they readily moved us on request to make it pool facing. During our trip our son fell sick and the hotel staff was very helpful and supportive. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and ensured we got great service. Even at 3 am they were very helpful with help. When we were checking out they gave us a late check out as our son was still not well. I will add the front desk staff is the best I have ever seen. So very helpful and kind.

Like other reviews, yes it is further away from the beach. You actually have to walk a long a small laneway that can get quite wet especially at night with no lights.

The hotel itself is getting a bit tired and the rooms could do with a little upgrade. On our first day the WiFi in our room wasn't working and y he deposit boxes weren't available but the staff was always attentive and tried to solve the problem straight away. We particularly liked the doorman who always greeted us with a smile and never failed to open the door for us.

We extended our stay to six nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool and deck chairs a 're a great spot to relax.
