Paupatri is hidden away down a dark and quiet alley, which makes a really nice change to the craziness of White Beach. We visited on Good Friday, which was a very quiet time for the restaurant, but there was still a nice atmosphere. You have to take off your shoes at the door and walk across beautiful polished wood elevated walkways to get to the tables. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic; we had very fresh juicy prawns, tender beef stew, crunchy potato rosti ,fresh salads and much more. I think some of the larger Filipino dishes need to be ordered in advance so they can prepare the fresh meat!! The best restaurant that we ate at during our stay.
