To get a full view of Boracay Island, you have to get to Mount Luho. You will see the vastness of the ocean in front of you, the naturally fine greeneries of the forest on your right as against the development of the golf course on your left. The wind is soo strong just before sunset that you wont be able to hear each other. It just feels so serene up there. You will fully appreciate God's creation on one end and man's creativity on the other end of the spectrum.
gives you a nice view of the island once you get to the viewing deck, but needs to improve the scenery on your way to the top.
The view up at the top is wonderful you can see 380 degrees all around. The down side is that before you get to the top they have like a little zoo where there are a few animals like bear cats, birds and monkeys. Unfortunatley the enclosures are not the best standard, very small and the animals look so sad that it will break your heart if you are an animal lover like myself
If you tend to get away from the beach area and had some breathtaking views,go rent an ATV and drive it all the way to the top of the mountain where you can see the whole of Boracay.
Our hotel (Microtel Boracay) had a room package that came with one activity so we chose the Buggy car ride to Mount Luho. Passed by an aviary on the way to Mt. Luho. Not much to see in the aviary but caged birds, an eagle, a monkey and a huge fruit bat. Not a very appealing sight for the caged animals too. We enjoyed the view in Mt. Luho. It was very cool and windy at the top. You can have snacks and shakes/drinks in a small restaurant at the peak. Great place for some picture taking or just a place to hang out for awhile and wind down.
