“could be better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

Very accessible with a few small shops and restaurants close by. A great location and more spacious grounds. But the rooms and facilities are in need of renovation. Breakfast could also be improved some. This is one of the older resorts - and it needs to be updated soon.

Pearl of the Pacific's location is great for everything. From the heavenly beach to the bars, the hotel gave the guests hassle free access because almost all of it is around the vicinity. It was indeed a great experience staying there. However, the hotel can use a bit of improvement on their service.

Room Tip: pool side and beach front rooms are always the best

We had a 3days 2nights with my family and got the hillside deluxe room. My 7yr old son can't enjoy his entire stay because after we go to the beach,we have to walk to their long flight of stairs. Staff isnt rude but they can't attend to our needs like a heater for hot water. The hotel is nice actually and the location is far from the crowd at d'mall which is good but the place really needs a renovation - a major one!

Pros:Location on station one does not disappoint. Cons: Very old and rundown room. We had to climb 100 steps to get to our room. The elevator was never repaired. Room is circa 1970's. Swimming pool was dirty. Poor lighting at night. No room service. I travelled with my husband, 1 year old and nanny. I would never return to this hotel. I have been to Boracay more than 10 times. It was not a vacation for us.This is the worst experience ever.

While this is one of the older hotels on Station 1, it still gives guests easy access to the more serene beachfront of Boracay while providing decent value on their rooms and service.

While I didn't especially find their in-house menu great, it was solid, although you can find more variety in terms of price and cuisine along the dozens of restaurants in Station 2.

Note that the hotel has a beachfront building with ocean views and a second building on the other side of the street. I stayed in the second building, which is just a stone's throw away from the powers Boracay sand!

Have to cross the street from the rooms to the beach which is dangerous considering all the motorbikes. Pool's size can be mistaken for kiddie pool than a resort pool. Restaurant is old, leaking, dark and lousy ambiance. Service even worse...... Asked for band aid for my child's wound but there was none. No service umbrella which considering the hassle of their location should be always available and necessary. Rooms are not well lit and broken air-conditioner. Bathroom dark no bidet. A totally horrible experience for the price they charge me. There are Hotels in station 2 way better than this place at more reasonable price. Not fitted for station 1 level. Structure dilapidated already. Only good thing i can say is that since located in station 1 the beach in front of their area is excellent.

We spent 5 nights here and it was a huge mistake that ruined our holiday.

The entire place is very old and poorly maintained. We were told our room was newly renovated, but we saw no evidence of that.

The room was old and dirty. The telephone didn't work and the TV couldn't turn on. When we asked them to fix it, the TV signal was terrible (see photo), and the phone only worked on the last day of our stay.

There were ants and millipedes in the toilet, the towels had stains or holes (see photo), and there was absolutely nowhere to put any toiletries. There were no basic amenities - no kleenex, no shower cap, no face towels. Shower head was old and water splattered everywhere. Bathroom door was on its last legs, an accidental hard push would've dislodged it and sent it crashing down.

Our "king-sized bed" was actually made of 2 singles (of uneven heights) pushed together. Also, the mattress was super thin and hard. Will not even get started on the pillows.

The room was barely larger than the bed, and the room had no internet. The deadbolt on the door was broken. The chairs on the porch were so old and sun-faded, they should've been thrown away years ago.

The breakfast buffet spread was the worst we've ever seen at any resort. It looked worse than the food in prison movies.

The pool is sad and tiny, and we never saw anyone swimming in it the entire time we were there.

The only good thing about the hotel is its location - right on a quiet stretch of beach at Station 1. However, please bring your own beach towels as we were told theirs were still in the laundry - everyday. I can't understand how a beach resort can run out of towels??

This place is really not worth the money; it's barely budget motel standard.

Boracay is beautiful, but don't ruin your trip by staying at Pearl of the Pacific. We made that mistake, and wouldn't wish this upon anyone else.

There are much nicer resorts that cost less.
