“very comfy and the place to be...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

this was my first time staying at regency boracay. the last time i was in boracay, i stayed with their sister resort regency lagoon. after having a bad experience there, i was a bit hesitant of staying with the brand regency. but since my friend wanted to stay close to the beach and in station 2, i figured to try this place.

we got to boracay very early. our room was not ready so my friend and i dropped our bags with the reception desk while we enjoy swimming on the pool. within in an hour, we got the call and the best of all, we got a room upgrade.

we took advantage with the buffet breakfast which was great. lots of choices. no complaints about the staff - very friendly.

i was suppose to head back to manila a day early than my friend but changed my mind the last minute. since my friend had no hotel reservation for this extra day, i tried to search for another resort within station 2. i did asked around but in the end, i decided to stay with the regency. luckily when i went to the reception area, it was the same person who helped us the first day that we arrived.

Room Tip: if you want peace and quite, i would recommend requesting for an inner room, not the beach room.

Great hotel in the middle of station two - close to everything that Boracay has to offer. Friendly staff - 4 great restaurants -Wave bar & sea breeze cafe both awesome - fire dancers singers and even dancing chefs!
Hotel is very clean amazing pools - only down sides is front are a bit lacking in efficient service WIFI s not free in rooms and drops out 500PHP for 24hours but really not worth it as signal s weak in rooms & don't get enough bottled water - 2 500ml a day is really not enough - other than would stay here again as long as I got a discount price or deal

this property is fit for those who like to have equitable access to the main beach of Boracay. As we occupied a juinior executive suite, we were able to have direct pool access from our room, and offered more quiet than the garden rooms. food is on the ok side. for the services, you have to be a bit assertive sometimes to be attended well. in general its fine...

Just had a 6 nit stay in this resort and I am short for words.
A large group of us went there on holiday and we had an amazing stay. The pictures don't really do any justice to this place, it's even better than what you can see.
3 different pool area, always someone to great you and assist you, though very discret, large selection of food and beverages with at least 3 restaurants.
The location is also great and the beach is amazing.
We saw a good mix of people, from family, couples and friends, all mixing very well.

I know I will return and have already recommended this place
Also, I booked a special deal with myboracayguide.com, you may want to check it out

Room Tip: I was in room 356 and had no trouble with any noise

Great and spacious family room for 5. We and and my three kids had good rests. Safe and clean pools in which we swam at almost every night, after the beach of course. Fresh towels everytime. I did not see the McDo resto, though. It is situated in the middle of the entire Boracay shore. Closest to everything! Beat that! Smart staff. Good amenities. Definitely a great stay for the whole family! We stayed last summer of 2011. This is late post.

Totally amazing that other reviewers omit mention of the one thing you need to know about this hotel: it includes McDonald's restaurant.

Smack in the center of the hotel, this McDonald’s is a favorite among locals. But woe to the hotel guest whose room in over the McDonald’s or in its proximity (and certain “premier” and “family” rooms are close to McDonald’s).

Because the McDonald’s offers little in the way of air conditioning, the hotel’s “grand lobby” serves as a dining area for the Big Mac crowd. Expect seating areas to be crowded during certain dining hours.

McDonald’s aside, there are other flaws:

1. Wifi costs good money. While internet can be accessed in the lobby for free (another explanation for the McDonald’s crowd?), in-room wifi costs $3.75 per hour, per device. This means that if you use a laptop and a cellphone two hours, you will charged $15 a day. Four hours will cost you $30 per day. And that is for a slow connection. (How slow is slow? How about one hour to download Skype).

2. Housekeeping is odd. Forget to leave out the “do not disturb” sign and a maid will wake you at 9 am. (Rise and shine). No turn down service in the evening.

3. No such thing as a mini bar in this hotel. Sure, there is a mini refrigerator, but it is empty. (Empty calories anyway).

4. Pool towels are not free for the taking. Each must be signed out and dutifully returned. And do not miss the posted warning: return a stained towel and you will be charged hotel accordingly. (Warn the kids).

Really no reason to put up with this, particularly in a hotel that charges $175 for a basic room and $300 for a better room.

So, unless McDonald’s is your idea of a cheeseburger in paradise, look elsewhere.

ps: No offense to those for whom dinner at McDonald’s is ever a vacation in itself.

Room Tip: spend money elsewhere

We've just come back from a stay at the Boracay Regency and really enjoyed it, you can't beat the location and the beach in front of the hotel is quite spectacular, the staff couldn't have been friendlier and the service was in general very good. We had a room in the East wing overlooking the main pool which was away from the busy front of the hotel so it was very quiet but the next time I'd book a pool access room in the same wing. We could have breakfast at Christinas and the Sea Breeze and while the service was sometimes hectic at the Sea breeze and the food sometimes a bit hit and miss the sevice and food at Christina's was excellent. The new Wave bar was our favourite for Happy Hour cocktails but I don't understand why they show the same Victoria Secrets video every night as it got a bit annoying after the 7th night of seeing it but the service and drinks quality was excellent and we also had some tapas one night and they were very good and also good size portions which we were'nt expecting.
We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Room Tip: Book a pool access room in the East wing
