“Modern Beachfront Hotel with Good Service.”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

I stayed here with my family for 4 days and we all had a good time. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with warm smiles and a welcome drink. The location is very good as it is central to everything. It is very close to D'Mall, where most of the shops and restaurants are.The hotel also has 4 different pools you can choose from, plus several restaurants within the hotel premises, so everything you need is very accessible.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast every morning. Unlike other hotels I've been to, they actually have different variety of food for breakfast everyday, so you won't get sick of it.

Overall, the Boracay Regency isn't anything 5 star. But given the brilliant location, clean and modern rooms, plus the smiling staff who were ready to lend a hand anytime, I have to say that The Boracay Regency is a pretty good place to stay when in Boracay.

Stayed here for New Years 2011 and had an enjoyable experience. The hotel is located in a prime spot and has direct access to the beach on the ground level and from the 2nd and 3rd floors by stairs that exit onto the beach. There are a number of hotel pools that are all very nice. The hotel also provides a beach towel sign out service and has an area of the beach reserved for hotel guests.

Overall I had a very comfortable stay here and would go back, it is not the most luxurious of resorts but great value for people who want to stay somewhere with great access to the beach and Dmall but who also value a comfortable and clean room to go back to at the end of the day. Careful with food in the room as it will attract ants.

Also, the breakfast buffet is great with a broad assortment and high-quality food.

Customer service gets 2 star since they are too rigid and barely smiles. Spa was horrible. Massage was a nightmare and not enjoyable. bruises the next day! The beds are comfortable and housekeeping was ok. The cold floor was borderline dangerous especially after shower. You can easily slip. Not secluded, a bit too public since anyone can just go upstairs. We paid for all inclusive and they kept reusing food from the day before. Eating left overs was really not my cup of tea.

This is my part 3 review of this hotel. We came back and we were never disappointed. Staff here make their way to do everything for your. From Roy ( the pool guy ), to Roldan ( the conceirge ), to the ever reliable and excellent Ms Rhea Mones, Manager of Front Office Mr Dindo ( the resort Manager ). Excellent staff also at Sea Breeze and MO2. To all of you, thank you!

I suggest to readers to book the family room. It consist of 2 bedrooms separated by a toilet and bath, 3 single beds and 1 queen size, excellent for families or group of friends. Includes 4 buffet breakfast ( the best in Boracay ) but 5 can be accommodated for the price.

The restaurants are all excellent and food changes everyday at the buffet breakfast, with live cooking stations and lost of excellent fresh fruit juices.

Also, check out their presidential suite, they are a home away from home.

FOR TRAVELLERS OUTSIDE PHILIPPINES: I suggest taking Southwest Tours transfers whether you are coming from Caticlan or Kalibo. They are sooo organized and they have excellent transport. They help you with your luggage as soon as you get out of the airport. They have excellent staff and it is a door to door transfer and their price includes all taxes and port fees and environmental fees. so it is reasonable for the service they offer.

If you need any additional info, let me know. ;)

Room Tip: if you are a family or a larger group on a budget, get the family room, it can sleep 5 comfortably.

We were in Boracay for 4 rainy and windy days, the beach was inaccessible most of the time thank goodness for the 3 pools of the hotel and close vicinity of d'mall, we enjoyed the food, the walks, and the pool.
For the price, the room could be better, but location wise, Regency is probably the best.
We asked the reception if we can get a room on the ground level, but was told that it was a smoking area, and 3rd floor is the non-smoking floor, to our surprise we found out all floors were provided with ash trays, and people can smoke wherever they want.
The downside of the trip is the bed bugs, we found out that the sheets were not changed daily on the last night of our stay, there were also stains on the comforter and the sheets.

Room Tip: I would have like rooms on ground level for good access to pool.

I stayed here with two friends for 3 nites, the staff was soooo nice. The hotel is big, there are three swimming pools and two restaurants. They provided welcome drinks and the breakfast was great. But only wifi in lobby is free of charge, hope it will be free in every room.

We stayed at Boracay Regency for 8 nights in July 2012 (low season, but great weather). Boracay is absolutely amazing, certainly the best beach I've ever seen - and I've done my fair share of traveling. Boracay Regency is one of the better resorts at Station 2, and with beach access, it really is a great place to spend some days in the sun. It's not as upscale as some of the properties on Station 1, but in the off season, Station 1 seems very quiet. The hotel was good, the facilities were clean and nice (several nice pools), the food was great (except the pool bar) and the service was very good. The downside was the rooms. We stayed in a family room, and they are really of fairly low standard. The bedding configuration seemed odd, as the largest room had 2+1 beds, while the smaller room had 2 single beds. Not sure what they were thinking, where would the parents stay?

The upscale rooms seemed much nicer, the premium rooms and suites seem to be of a better standard. Wifi is expensive and slow. Apart from that, I think the hotel is a great place to stay and again, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The clientele was mixed Chinese, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Filipino, Korean, Japanese, European and American, which created a very nice environment. The kids loved it, and made friends from all over the world. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Stay away from the family rooms. Opt for a suite or premium room.
