Lovely staff. Gorgeous gardens, views and pool. Located at the quiet, far end of the island. Staff were happy to drop us off wherever we needed to go. The main downside is that you can't just stroll to the beach (but you have drivers . But the sunsets and service (mostly) make up for that.

This place is a bit remote, but due to its very high service level you cannot complain after all. The team will drop you off by van at D’Mall (central spot) whenever you want. We used the service frequently and never had to wait for the transfer.

You can reach Argonauta from D’Mall within 10 Minutes by tricycle, which will cost you about 150 PHP.

Try private Balinghai Beach, right beside the Argonauta, it is a very nice experience, sometimes it can be reserved for private venues, especially on weekends.

Puka Beach is great as well, we advise to take a 5 minute walk to the left (sea in front at drop off) and settle at the premises of the Alta Vista Hotel, pay some money for Kabanas and take a rest there. The beachfront is more wide and you have a nice bar that you can order drinks from.

The villa we received was spacious, very tidy and perfectly equipped. The fridge is filled with a wide variety of beverages, whereas prices are absolutely reasonable. You can choose from different breakfast menus and also combine them individually, all of them are delicious and well prepared.

We strongly recommend to buy some fresh seafruits at Ditali papa, the wet market, and let it be prepared by the argonauta staff. Keep it simple with some butter and garlic sauce and you will be stunned by taste, as the staff really knows what they are doing.

Views are outstanding and again, i have to underline, the staff will be of your service in any matter, they are very quick and always friendly.

Room Tip: Go for the Bungalows, not the rooms.

Arriving down the little lane, you're not quite sure what to expect. However our expectations were exceeded, both as a result of the excellent and friendly staff and the accommodation its self. The staff could not do enough and were always polite and courteous. It felt like we were the on,y guests and were treated like royalty! We had an apartment which we shared with part of our family. The rooms were great and the view even better. Be prepared for some steep steps though. No access to the beach, but not a problem, someone was always at hand to run you to wherever you wanted to go beach or shopping! Always an easy tricycle ride back from the beach or restaurant. Thanks Tripadvisor contributors, we went on your recommendations and were pleased we did.

We stayed at Argonauta at Easter, following a recommendation from a friend. We wanted to relax, away from chaotic Manila, and that's exactly what we got to do. You can seriously turn up here with your phone, wallet and clothes and everything else is taken care of.
The hosts will take care of requests; from transport to welcome, to beach baskets with fresh beach towels, amazing breakfasts, activity and restaurant recommendations, and such friendly warm and professional customer service.
2 pools, note beach access was unavailable during visit. Main beach and tourist Mecca 10 mins away by bike cab (safe), however do take advice to walk to adjoining private beach (you may need to book as numbers are limited). $US 11 per adult, which you receive back via food/drink. Wifi and shade also available. Loved it so much we spent 2 of our 7 days here. Highly recommend ordering a seafood dinner to enjoy in the villa surrounds. Our 2 bedroom apartment with balcony and rooftop terrace was well equipped and very comfortable. Our 2 school aged children and us had a fantastic time - recommended and hope to return again soon.

I want to start off by saying that the weather is of no fault of the management but probably doesn't help the overall experience. Because of the awesome reviews I was really expecting something great on our arrival despite the weather. Unfortunately our room was a "Garden view" room and was just so disappointing that we left the next day and found another resort for the same price overlooking the water that was real value. Argonauta's real strong point is the villas overlooking the ocean which looked amazing from the outside. Simply, just dont get a room. Overpriced and badly equipped. The staff were great and I would still consider going back if a had a few friends and we grabbed a villa.

Room Tip: Get a villa! Not a room!

We stayed with Argonauta for 4 days in the villa with three bed rooms. Overall, our experience is wonderful. The villa is spacious, with elegant furnishing, making you staying quite cosy. The most special thing is their the personal care they have given to us. June , the general manger was always so nice and helpful whenever we have any inquiry. Given generally the hotel level at Boracay is not high, this place would be a safe, comfortable and elegant place for you to stay. The limitation is it is indeed a a bit remoted located, ( compared to other hotels). So as long as you don;taking staying just near the beach as must, it would be highly recommended. one more thing: if they could increase their variety of food choice, it may be even more attractive.

My wife and I were completely charmed by Jun, Stefi, and all the staff at Argonauta. The hotel has a beautiful view, has a rustic charm, and has the personalized feel of a bed and breakfast or visiting a friend, more than staying at a giant hotel resort.

It is, I think, important to provide context for the type of vacation we wanted to enjoyon this trip: we wanted to relax on a secluded beach, we wanted to experience some local culture, try local foods, relax, and with luck make some friendly connections with locals. If you are looking for something similar than Argonauta is perfect for you.

We also wanted to avoid crowds, touristy bars, and souvenir shopping.
We went to Boracay's main DMAll area once with all the shops/ restaurants/ bars and while we walking around this area my wife and I couldn't help feel grateful for choosing the Argonauta hotel.

If you are looking to meet people enjoy crowds and go on a pub crawl or two then Argonauta may not be your thing.

If you read the other reviews of the Argonauta you'll notice that praise is more a result of the wonderful people than the physical surrounding (and considering the surrounding beauty it is amazing that the compliments are about the people). I travel on my stomach, and like to eat local foods. At home I like to cook and felt like learning how to cook some Filippino dishes. Rather than sign me up for cooking lessons Jun, the hotel manager, brought me into the kitchen and taught me how to cook some local dishes with his staff. This was by far the highlight of the trip for my wife and I.

Despite being on one of the most gorgeous islands in the world, the connection that we were able to make with the staff of the Arognauta far outweighed the beautiful white sandy beaches.
