Spider House Resort

This place is amazing. Right on the water, open air, no a/c, back to nature in a comfortable tree-house setting. And the staff is amazing, especially the manager.

We arrived at the Spider House very early in the morning after traveling overnight. We were exhausted and after breakfast fell asleep on the deck. The manager came over and said we could go rest in another room while ours was getting cleaned. Slept for a few hours and when we got up, our room was ready. And were were completely refreshed.

We had a treetop double with a nice little porch overlooking the water. Everything was spotlessly clean.

There was a mix-up with our room at one point. It was an honest mistake by the receptionist. Some other guests landed in our room. Imagine our surprise when we got back to our room to find other people's stuff in it! We didn't really mind. Things happen. But the manager handled the entire situation so professionally and with such grace. It all worked out in the end. It really just showed how well run the place is.

The food is pretty good. Get sushi!

It's only about a 10 min walk along the beach to the more touristy parts of Boracay.

And the Spider House doesn't advertise it very well ... but they have a sail boat you can take out for a SUNSET SAIL. The price is a fraction of what we were getting quoted further down the beach. And it was a really nice time. Just my husband and I.

I would completely recommend this place to anyone. If you're not fond of stairs, just make sure to get a room with just a few steps up. Our room had a good 30 or so. But we liked the climb.

Overall a fantastic place. And if you're afraid of spiders, don't let the name scare you away. I didn't see one in our room! Just a few outside.

Room Tip: Higher-up rooms are quieter and have great views. But it comes with a lot of stairs.

All the cons about the place are forgiven for the stunning view we had! We stayed in suite no.7, a spacious room with 2 beds and a wonderful terrace. You can actually enjoy the seaview lying on a daybed in the room, just perfect for afternoon chill and being lazy on long waited-for holidays.
The property is not new, which gives a kind of camping-in-the-jungle feeling. The only thing I was missing is earplugs - an absolute must-have for a light sleeper as I am. Be aware there's no water at night time, save some for you needs in the bucket provided, it's not a diffucult thing to do.
Absolutely loved the restaurant downstairs - the best place to enjoy a beautiful sunset daily and great food and cocktails.
Privacy is very questionable - our room was seen through by the people entering the room downstairs, and we could hear our neighbours wispering just behind a thin wall.
Enjoyable stay for sure!

Its been my third time here and this time I took the suite room - 10. Its the best view I have even seen in my entire life so far. This is the moment especially when you want privacy. Breakfast are also provided with 3 types of dishes. Great view, great room, great expectations....

Hello, It is a pleasure for me to describe here my experience in this place. I spent their 10 amazing days in the Spider House and in Boracay. What i can say? Only good things!
1º - The staff is amazing!! Could not meet everyone but I can only say good things of the people that work their: Paul, Carol, Christie, Michelle, Weed and Alan, owner of the place.
2º - The place is amazing, all made of bamboo, on the top of the ocean. In some rooms you can jump directly to the ocean! Blue water, think that only going there you can have a real feeling how that place is AMAZING!
3º - Best place to see the sunset in Boracay.
I am 100% sure i will go back again in the future. That place is priceless, hope it stays like it is.... If you want to have a real Philippine experience you should go there.

This place is paradise. Away from the hustle and bustle of White Beach the chilled island vibe takes over and relaxation is taken to another level. The rooms have everything you need for island living, basic yet comfortable. As there are no windows (amazing to wake up to) the beds are comfy and well equipped with mosquito nets. Most of our time was spent in the communal area where you can jump off the deck straight into the crystal clear water. The menu is delicious and we spent our days eating and swimming. The sushi menu is particularly yummy. The breakfast was the best we had in the Philippines and we could not believe it was complimentary. The common area gets a bit crowded at sunset as it is a great spot to watch the sun go down but it clears out not long after.
The only regret i have is that i did not stay here longer. Highlight of our trip to the Philippines.

The hotel itself is unique with its eco feel which built up with bamboo. The location is perfect for someone who seek for an escape and soak in the wonder nature. Crystal clear sea water and superb view from the room also another reason to make me stay in this hotel again.
however, the facilities are old and ran down. Poor cleanliness also at whole hotel. If u doesn't like the lizards, gecko, cockroaches, crickets, fire ants, bees and other little creature, this hotel doesn't suit u as u'll never alone in the room.
