“kinda overrated..”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

tried eating for lunch last October. It was so hot inside and the place was full of smoke (maybe thats where it got its name). Im not fond of any restaurants where its dark and hot and the music is loud but still we waited and ordered food thinking that it will be worth it. But no, it was not worth it. The food was not soooo good, it was ordinary, kinda so-so..

Their staffs are not very attentive and I saw that one of the cooks shouts at a customer asking for a napkin. He was so rude, he could've talked to the customer in a nice way but no. He shouts at him "Im a cook! Cant you see I'm busy cooking?" So rude. They need to train their staffs.

“Awesome value, great food”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

I spentn early 3 weeks on Boracay and ate at Smokes almost everyday. The food is fantastic and great value. On average much cheaper than you will find on the rest of Boracay.
There are 2 Smokes, 1 is less known than the other as it's more hidden. The main is open to 4am, great place for a post drink curry but it's pretty small so tends to get filled real quick. It's worth waiting for though.

“Economical and Tasty”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Read a lot of good reviews about this place and I'm so happy to say that its all true. Food is great and won't hurt your budget. If you eat here you must try their Beef Salpicao. At Php 100 its the best meal you can find in this price range.

“Will tolerate smoke for food”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

There is a reason why this restaurant is called Smoke. Because of the number of menu items that they offered grilled and sizzling, there is always a little smoke in this hole-in-the-wall. But the taste of the food is amazing...enough to ignore the smoke and eat. Sizzling bulalo, crispy bulalo, grilled everything (chicken, pork, beef) etc etc etc. Of course one leaves the place smelling like the smoke but the gustatory experience is well worth it.
This resto is not easy to find because it is off the main arteries of Station 2's D'mall. Ask the guards. They can lead you there. Of course you can always follow the smoke.

“Simple, super tasty and inexpensive”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

The food is very tasty and inexpensive (around 100~180 pesos per dish), service is friendly, and the location is convenient, right in D'Mall, and we ate there several time dyring our stay in Boracay. I recommend specially the chicken mango kao pad, which is an absolute killer.
It can get can really hot inside, so try to grab a sit outside if you can. I noticed they were advertising their new store "on the beach", but we didn't have the occasion to try it...
