Lazy Dog Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #15 of 225 Boracay B&B and Inns
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Me, my husband and few of our friends had 3N stay at Lazy Dog in April. The guesthouse is 15 to 20 mins walk from white beach. It has very nice environment. The open concept of sitting area is a credit. Room service & breakfast are provided every day. Room is simple with attached bathroom (twin room).

Service is good & they also provide day tour to other places.

Anyway, here are few things that i would like to comment:
1) Cleanliness is so so & i think it can be improved
2) Bathroom should install a shower screen so that water wont splash out to dry area during shower
3) They should advise the guests NOT TO MAKE NOISE during midnight & i found this is really important because me & my husband felt so annoying disturbed by the next door guests which they're made noise in the midnight till 1.30am. They are Chinese descent can speak fluent Cantonese! They were in 1 group. It's so ridiculous! Never think of others! It's midnight, it's sleeping time ok. Straight away i made a complaint the next day.

Hope there're some changes during the next visit to Lazy Dog.

Spent there a few nights and I can say it wasn't bad at all. Staff were friendly and willing to assist at any time. Breakfast was very decent, although not many options. It's located away from the crowd and noisy bars/pubs/clubs. It's 5 mins walk from the main road where u can get cheap tricycles to go from one station to another. After our first night, the AC broke, but we were transferred to another room the next day, so there were no issues. It's not beach facing, so don't expect breathtaking views in the morning. And it's not in the middle of the "action". But if it's peace and serenity while u sleep that u r looking for, this is a fine option

Both me and my partner cornered August for our leaves and immediately decided that we have to go back to Boracay. We got a great deal from Agoda and booked our stay at Lazy Dog for 3 nights. Unfortunately when we arrived at Boracay there was a typhoon. Good thing the resort room was rustic and homey. Wifi was at work which helped in a way to entertain us. We were looking forward to meet their adorable labrador Whiskey but he was also under the weather.
One great find was the Veitnamese Coffee.
Would definitely go back and hopefully it would be sunny that time

When we got to the room there was no toilet paper nor did the light work. The beds are simple bamboo beds that creak. The shower walls are very mouldy. The air conditioner is on its last legs and is very loud. I feel at around $115 for a family room this room was very over-priced. The bathroom floor floods after showering. There was lights shining into the room from both directions. The breakfast was limited to two types of meat dishes with the staple rice and pancakes everyday. There was very little food suitable to give my 6 month baby except for pieces of mango. The service was OK and the cleaning of the room each day was good.

The location of Lazy Dog B&B is nearby Bulabog beach, which is famous for kite surfing. The room is very clean and simple. The staff here are very friendly. It takes you 10 mins to walk to white beach(S1 & S2).
But there's some cock nearby the Lazy Dog. Every early morning, you are waked up by the cock.....which made me crazy.....
Anyway, Lazy Dog is still a good place.

Room Tip: 2nd floor is better.

Great location right off the kite-surfing area of Bulabog, and yet only 10 minute walk to White Beach. Clean, simple rooms and decent food. Best feature was the friendliness of staff, owners and fellow travelers, who created a quick community with inside knowledge of the best of Boracay.

This hostel is just 2 mins away from the kite-surfing beach. But... I feel that this hostel is very overpriced.
Quality of room: Little comfort is provided in the room. Toilet tends to flood after showering and the TV in the room did not come with a remote. Dirt floor leads to your room and it difficult not to bring in the dirt along with you into the the room. Shower in 1 of our room also did not work well as water supply was not constant and the air-con was very noisy.

Quality of breakfast: Breakfast served daily consist of fried rice, soup and pancakes with 2 side dishes that are changed daily. However, the food is always cold, even when we had our breakfast at 7am. The only saving grace is that they have an egg station.

Quality of common area: Common area in the hostel is decorated nicely and is always shady. However, because of the constant shade, the area is always damp. (this could also because it rained for an hour everyday when we were there) So there's always quite alot of mosquitos around.

Quality of Service: Staff are pretty friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights, but our room was only tidied up after the first night. Sheets were not changed after the second night.

Overall, i would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. We paid 90 bucks for a double bed (queen size) and 120 bucks for a bigger room for 3 persons (2 double single bed). they did not provide any extra beds, and we had to join the two beds together so 3 person can sleep horizontally.
