The room services is good, clean yet needs to deodorize before serving to the next client. The buffet dishes seems to be salty and the dessert is too sweet, in need of chef . A quality resort must be paired with a perfect quality of the food serve on its restaurant. Services and staff are very much attentive and customer oriented.

Booked a poolside room, but upon check in the room started to smell foul. It smelled like sewer, we were given room 115. It was beside the mop room/ pump room, not sure if this has something to do with it. We had to ask for a room change. It was kind of a hassle since we already settled in but at least they gave a bigger room. Location of hotel was good as it is strategically in between the white beach. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Food during breakfast was okay, dinner was not so good. Overall, my family had a restful sleep every night, so I can say it is a pleasant stay despite the earlier mishaps.

Back to Boracay after 2 years and we decided to book our stay with Astoria Boracay.

1. Airport transfer with fee (decided to avail this because we're travelling with my parents, less hassle especially if you have heavy luggages and carry ons)

2. Pool Side Deluxe Room

PROS: T&B is spacious with Bath tub
CONS: The room is really small / cramped. They tried to fit 2 double beds inside the room, if you have big luggages, you would have to open it inside the bathroom.

Less than an hour of stay in the room given to us (it is right next to the pump room), foul smell filled up the room, my mom immediately informed front desk about the concern and they are quick to offer a room upgrade for us.

The new room offered to us is in the annex building, 2nd floor, though we're not poolside, the room is incredibly spacious - twice the size of the first room, twice the size of T&B, with dining area, kitchenette and nook area for writing.
Thank goodness for this upgrade, because I wouldn't have enjoyed our 3D-2N stay in that small and smelly pool side room.

3. Staff - accommodating and courteous. Complimentary fruits and desserts were given everyday.

4. Architecture - clean, sleek and simple for the Exteriors and fun and colorful for the Interiors. Enjoyed the pool area.

5. Food - there's always room for improvement, nothing exceptional. The food we've eaten from restaurants outside the hotel are way better.

Room tip: Rooms on the annex building provide more privacy than the poolside rooms and they are way more spacious.

Our stay at Astoria Boracay is a memorable one. We chose Astoria Boracay because of its location, the previous good reviews and the homey feel of its structure, plus my daughter was excited to have a direct pool access from our room. We are ever so glad that we availed the arranged transfers they offered. It was one of the best decisions we made in coming to Boracay. It was like going to Boracay is a breeze! We were so thankful for not experiencing the long lines in coming in the island like the ones we see on TV. Riding the speedboat was an added great experience too! Both my husband and daughter loved it, and that makes me happy! The staff in Astoria Boracay are proactive and will make you feel right at home. The food at the White Café is superb! Though we had some minor problems checking in and some issues with our room, overall, the positive experiences in Astoria Boracay outweighs the downside of it. Astoria Boracay is definitely a 2-thumbs up!

We constantly combine business and leisure since my husband and I work from home. This pricey hotel was chosen because they have advertised that they have a business center for their hotel guests. I use the hotel business center a lot for work. This hotel DO NOT HAVE a business center! It is maddening especially for the price they charge per room. They also give you ONE room key. If they charge you 500php for a lost key, why do you insist on limiting one key to your guests?! I'd say give them as many keys as they want since they will be paying for it anyway if they lose their keys! OR at least give them a minimum of two per travelling couple/family.

I'm not sure about their housekeeping policy, but the plate we used for food service has been sitting on our room dining table for two days. We can't leave it outside of our room door since we are in a tropical area so leaving food outside will invite a trail of ants to our doorway.

I will not recommend this place for business travelers.

Room tip: Premier room for a family of 3. I've heard that the standard rooms are very small.
