“great part of beach among better resorts yet offers value for money”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

located in boracay's station1, known for the best shoreline and higher end resorts far from the rifraf. ambassador is comparable. their rooms are huge and clean, pleasantly decorated, although not to the designer detail of discovery or two seasons nearby. but ambassadors rooms are large, much larger than two seasons. walls are solid and rooms are not side by side each other that you hear your next door neighbor. the access to the pool and beach is easy, the restaurant is great. it is even rated as one of the best in boracay serving continental food. rooms are comfortable and rates are not painful, cheaper than nearby resorts. staff are all friendly, efficient and reliable. homey and definitely will entice you to keep coming back.

Room Tip: upper floors, more privacy

The Ambassador in Paradise Resort offers great service from the minute you walk into the lobby. You will be greeted with a warm welcome, ice cold towel to refresh your face, and hands, and a nice island drink. Fast check in, and warm friendly staff.

During your check in you are issued a cell phone in place of a room phone. What a great idea, as you can take your cell phone with you in order to contact the resort when you want to be picked at any location and taken to another location.

The ground of the resort are very very nice, sidewalk are of sand, lots of trees for shade, as well as adding to the over nice look. The resort leads you right to a very nice clean enjoyable beach.

The rooms (family room we used) was so nice, could not have asked for better. We were a family of 5, the family room was two levels, a basement as well as a main floor. Down stairs had 3 very large beds that would have been enough for 4 people, a very large shower.

Same goes for the main floor, the King size bed was so very nice and so roomy, you just have to see the rooms to understand just how nice they are. The bathroom was (a guess) 15'x15', the only draw back by the bathrooms, were no counter space, but that is not a big issue.

I would have to say this was one of the nicest resorts I have stay in my entire 2 1/2 years in the Philippines. This is a must for anyone who wants to feel like a VIP.

The staff were just outstanding, every staff member you walk by will greet you with a warm smile, a good morning, a good afternoon, of a nice hello. Not one staff member did not speak to us.

There is so much more to say about this resort, from the soft powder feeling sand, tot he good food, to the design of the resort, and rooms, the list could go on. I really could not complain about anything.

I love love this Presidential Suite!
The amenities are all modern with a mix of Asian touch.
Check out the photos!
It's the presidential suite so it is expensive but worth it.
Very spacious. Clean. Quiet. Simply amazing.

Great location. Station 1.
Excellent service.
The owners are Dutch and very friendly.

Highly recommended!

Didn't stay in the other rooms so I can't vouch for them.

Probably the best location to stay at in Boracay. In Station 1, a quick walk away from everything, and the outdoors view is gorgeous day and night (especially with the lit palm trees). Service was friendly. We had an issue in our room that was resolved right away. The food at the restaurant was good, especially for dinner (though if you stay in Boracay, make sure to hit up other restos and stalls too!).

The only gripe I have, would be the bathroom. It was clean and large, I just wish it was more compartmentalized (have shower separated, add glass walls, etc.).

Room Tip: Try to get one where you can see the view of the beach!

We stayed there for 3 days in March 2013 and we felt like VIP`s. Clean rooms, nice swimmingpool and garden area, friendly and helpfull staff. This is our 3rd trip to Boracay, and we will definitely come back to this hotel! Thank you very much!

Room Tip: Choose a room close to the beach for maximum view and experience!

This is a weird hotel. I had read about the check-in process and the form I would have to sign promising not to bring any snacks, water or other drinks from outside of the hotel into your room, but I was still shocked about the cold "welcome". Both my wife and I had to sign that stupid paper but there were more rules we needed to be informed of. We were asked to sit down and the girl from the reception said "First some ground rules: If you get a henna tattoo, which is very popular here, and there is henna ink on any hotel towels, you will have to pay for the towel". Is this how you treat guests checking in to a luxury hotel? We felt like some kids going to summer camp and listening to a list of "don't's".

My wife and I travel a lot but this comes down as the absolute worst "welcoming" reception we ever had. In fact, they forgot to say "welcome to the hotel". This feeling stuck with us over the weekend and we are never coming back.

The first night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant which is beautifully located right on the beach. My wife ordered a glass of Moët & Chandon champagne but it tasted bad - I go to many champagne blind tastings and this was clearly defect (not corked but something else). I sent the glass back and then they showed up with a new glass of champagne explaining that the first glass was actually their cheap sparkling wine. I wonder what they had planned to charge us for... If you order champagne or anything above the cheapest wine, make sure you take a look at the bottle when they pour your wine.

The beach is beautiful and I can recommend Kasbah, a very nice Moroccan restaurant right next door to the Ambassador. It is both cheaper and better than Ambassador's restaurant.

There are some good things about Ambassador: some staff were really friendly, the location is perfect for a family, and the beach is beautiful. If you can get a good price (below 200 USD/night for a Premier room) maybe it is worth it but be prepared for a Fawlty Tower experience.

Located in Station 1, Ambassador in Paradise has a somewhat private beach property and is quiet. The hotel provides free shuttle from and to Caticlan airport which is very helpful as it was my first stay here. The property is quite new. The decor is simple and the room is very spacious. We have a view of the pool and the ocean from the patio in the room.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and the service is amazing. The restaurant at the hotel serves some really good food. There's also a Morocan restaurant next door - Kasbah that also offers great food. The best thing about the hotel restaurant is it's right on the beach so you could enjoy the food while looking directly at the ocean.

There are nightly live performance and over the 4 nights we stayed there, they had a different performer for each night. The hotel also offers a variety of activities. Island hopping was very nice. We were arranged to be on a boat alone and did snorkeling along the way.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely consider coming back here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the beach front as not all rooms have a view of the ocean.
