Next to the famous la Carmella.....station 3 but much nicer and homey.... Pick their bongalows and you will never regret.... Very near restaurant and beach front...when you ride a trike, it can drop you off near the resort... There's a massage area on beach front opposite the resort ... Fronting the resort, you pass a restaurant and they do buffet dinner every night...

We stayed here last October 24-26 which was during their low season. It was rather good, for the price and location. We didn't encounter major problems during our stay.

Pros:
- Good value if you book during low season
- Good location, the restaurant is beach front but the rooms are not but just behind the restaurant
- Near restaurants and walkable distance to Dmall
- New big rooms in the new building, with comfortable bed and split-type aircon
- The american and continental breakfast were good enough with large portions
- They have buffet dinner with discounts offered to in-house guests at P265

Cons:
- Not very accessible, you have to walk on the sand a few meters with your luggage
- There were lots of mosquitoes in the area, cannot stay on the room balcony without ample amount of anti-mosquito lotion
- No wifi in the room, very weak signal in the balcony
- They did not make up our room
- They charged P50 for the breakfast to be delivered to my sister-in-law's room who was really sick at that time.

Now to our room, the lighting was not very good. Not enough light over the sink and mirror.
No tissue holder in the bathroom. The hot shower was not working but anyway, a cold shower is welcome after a hot sunny day.

Overall, it was good value for the price, location and room comfort.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the new building.

I was in Boracay last October 31 – November 2 with my girlfriend, and we were assigned to one of the newer rooms. The room was adequate and clean, with a big bed and really good A/C and a nice toilet. The only downside was when we go out the veranda, a dive shop is directly across the building, and can get noisy, but at night, it’s not so much, and overall, the room is pretty comfortable. They have a nightly buffet dinner, and while the food wasn’t anything special, it’s not too bad, and we had a lot of choices. The overall service is pretty good, and the staff are warm and accommodating. The other downside is the electricity, which went off and on several times on one night. When we complained, we were told that there was a problem with the source, and that it’s commonplace during holidays because too many people are on the island, and there are a lot of demand on electricity, which, upon reflection, is admittedly understandable.

The resort’s location is ideal (between station 2 and 3, when I asked), since it’s not so far from the center of the island, yet not too close to the crowded part of the beach, which provides a nice balance of serenity and accessibility. The property is right on the beach, and they provide beach beds for lounging. They also have a bar and restaurant, and provides laundry service for a fee.

Overall, we had a good Halloween vacation, and despite its flaws, I’d definitely recommend Bamboo Beach Resort, especially for budget travellers.

Room Tip: Rooms on the New Building are spacious and quieter.

Our family had difficulty booking other affordable hotels in Boracay for Oct-31-Nov 2, 2013. When this was offered by a travel agency and we found out from the reviews that it was a beachfront area at the end of Station 2, we immediately agreed.

While we conditioned ourselves not to expect much, we were surprised that upon check-in, we were told that we were being given an upgrade to an Executive Suite (from our original reservation for a Quad room) at their Annex building. We soon found out that the "upgrade" was more like a "downgrade"--the toilet flush was not working properly, there were quite a number of mosquitoes, and the electricity broke down more than 7 times from the afternoon until early evening. We requested that they look into the electricity problem right away since it was the most bothersome problem for us but all we got were assurances that the maintenance people were working on it. The next morning, the flush completely broke down which forced me demand for an immediate transfer to another room. While we got the room which was only 2 doors away from our assigned room in no time, the brownouts went unabated throughout the night. We got used to it after a while.

For those interested in budget accommodations near the beach, just make sure you do a thorough check of the room condition before you officially ask for the key. One receptionist was also very helpful and understanding although I forgot to ask for her name.

Room Tip: Based on the two rooms I saw at their new building, not much difference between the Quad and Executi...

We stayed here last October 24-26, 2013. They cheated us. We expected that they will have clean sheets and linens so we did not bother to check them. When we checked out they informed us that the linens and sheets had a lot of henna stain. We were so surprised because we did not stain any sheets. They asked us to pay for those stain.

I agree with the other reviews the breakfast was terrible. We had the tocino breakfast and it tasted like cat puke as I imagine a cat puke tastes like.

They advertise wifi but the whole duration of my stay we never got any wifi signal.

This place is such a cheat. Beware of your stay.

Went to boracay with my friends, and they actually booked this resort and it my first time to be there, the room is spacious and clean, there is a small sofa outside the room for u. The whole stay was nice and actually u need to ask reception to clean it,theres a wifi in the bar but no wifi for the whole resort, but they told me they have but it diesnt connect at all, they served breakfast and quite good, the buffet during dinner seems inviting but its not much of a choice of variety of foods. Overall its fine and satisfied.

Only thing positive to say about this place is that it's cheap and the reception staff are pretty competent.

Rooms are dreadful - decor is 40 year old and counting, bed matresses are thin and flimsy, pillows are cheap foam, shower faucet hardly works, internet very slow.

Breakfast was poor and staff were grumpy.

No pool, busy beach front location.
