Once you land at Boracay Airport, you can feel relaxed. Just tag your luggage and it will directly be sent to your room!

Needless to say, it is one of the finest properties in Boracay. Every staff member greets you with smile every time :)

We were group of 5 families and during breakfast we were very well accommodated with Indian food by Head Chef Hammid. Also, Jovert was very helpful with allowing us to cook our own style egg dishes.

Not to forget Butch, who went extra mile to send me my son's forgotten iPad from our breakfast table. Butch did every effort to nicely pack and courier it to our Manilla hotel. He was too helpful at airport transfers too!

Having stayed in the Loft villa, there's only one word to describe it and that's Awesome! Was totally pampered by Shangri-la's Boracay with a surprise birthday room upgrade from their Treetop villa, only to be made aware when we were already standing in one of their most luxurious signature villa. Everything were perfect, the services & experiences we received during our stay were remarkable, The attentiveness of their service was of top notch and there's nothing more that we could have asked for as every detail were being thoughtfully taken care of.

It was very sweet of the resort to have surprised me with a birthday cake in our living area and they were very meticulous on their housekeeping (they note when you are away from the villa and seize the time to speedily tidy your room without having you to request for it). Every service crew that we met around the resort were always smiling and happy, making us feel so welcomed and warm at heart. All in all, thumbs up to Shangri-la Boracay, thanks for making my stay in Boracay so wonderful and memorable.

Boracay is beautiful but Shangri-la was a disappointment. The rooms were fair, bathrooms played up, and being such a huge property, it was hard to get around it as there were limited buggies. The staff were appallingly bad at looking after the guests. We paid 5 star prices, for what we felt were 4 star accommodation and 2 star service. They tried to double charge us several times, so please check your bills carefully. If you have a complaint about anything the staff waffle around and don't do anything. We had to demand a meeting with the GM to have unjustified charges removed.

Room Tip: If you have special requests, document them and email and then speak to hotel directly. Get definite...

Shangri-la's Boracay Resort and Spa is a tranquil place, away from the hustle and bustle of the usual Boracay strip. It has 2 private beaches, breathtaking pools, and a great indoor entertainment place for kids. They have scheduled activities for children like mask making, parlour games, fish feeding... Our 5-year old daughter had a blast! The staff is friendly and helpful. The premiere sea view room was spacious. It had, as the room name suggests, a fantastic view of the sea from where you can hear the waves break.

Enjoyed stay immensely. Stayed in the Tree House Villa. Only downside is that the bedroom is on a different floor than the living room and you have to go outside and up exterior stairs to get to the living room.

This was my third time to the resort this year alone and I am certain this wont be the last time I'll visit. I have been to three Shangrila hotels - Makati, Mactan and Boracay -. All provide excellent service. Staff are well trained. Facilities are well maintained, look and feel luxurious. However, Boracay takes it a notchp higher. The hotel makes you feel like a VIP from the moment you step on their Mabuhay lounge in Caticlan jetty port until the moment you step out from the same lounge on your way to the airport. The rates might be higher by a few thousand pesos compared to other resorts in Station 1 but its worth every penny. For starters, they are the only hotel that I know that covers everything a tourist will need to enjoy the best Boracay experience. The hotel gives you a sense of exclusivity once you step in their own lounge separate from other tourists waiting for a ride to the island. They provide their own speed boat and have their own boat dock taking away the hassle of arranging boat transfers from and to the island. Furthermore, crew of the speed boat will not hesitate to offer to take your group picture if they see you holding your camera. I guess this is part of their training as other staff in the resort would do this as well.

Rooms are big and spacious. I have been booking the seaview rooms and this type of room comes with a veranda with two day beds and an awesome view of the sea. Room are furnished with the standard LCD tv, an ipod dock, comfy beddings and a really awesome bathroom.

The resort is humongous and expansive. For first timers, it will be best to browse through the resorts map given on the Mabihay lounge. I have spent one stay (3 days and two nights) without leaving the resort. Although, it took a small fortune to cover the food for lunch, buffet seafood dinner and typical merienda but I felt might as well try what the resort can offer. One can spend ones time swimming in either the beach, the swimming pool, working out in the gym, having a massage in Chi spa or engaging in their numerous water activities. They also have an activity center complete with a pool table, console based video games, or for the old school, board games. Furthermore, there are plenty of photo opportunity places

The food though is something that I least enjoy. The buffet breakfast has very limited choices and is not in league with Circles in Shang Makati. Taste is also somewhat attuned to the western pallet (toned down). Its somewhat ironic that bteakfast food is Filipiniana yet doesnt sit well with my taste buds. Likewise, the seafood buffet is somewhat overpriced at 2k++ per person.

Overall I will give this resort a 4.75/5. Perfect, if not only for the food.
