The title said it all… It was paradise for both the island and the resort. While Boracay is too crowded and too commercial, staying in Shangri-La offers you peace and quiet! Paradise with good food and a lot of water activities!

Shang Boracay is a sprawling and beautiful resort, as expected from a Shang property. It's a worry-free stay from the minute you arrive at the airport up to the minute you get on your flight home. The rooms are big and comfortable for a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children). It has 2 beaches (although the sand is not as powdery-fine as the beach in the main Boracay strip), a huge pool area and a big game room/activity area for kids. It's just too bad that the service did not live up to expectation; service was extremely SLOW and everything took forever. Meals are also quite expensive. Dinners average $30-$40 per person. Overall an average experience, not the Shang experience I expected.

An amazing hotel that offers the best of everything. The gardens, beaches and pool were beautiful and clean, staff were always friendly and so helpful and the buffet breakfast was excellent. My partner and I didn't want to leave. I have recommended this hotel to all my family and friends!

This is a fantastic resort. The best I experienced in the Philippines. Food, sun, people all fantastic. Our company held it's Asia/Pacific Tech Challenge there and the overall value to our people made this a well deserved trip for a good price.

Shang Boracay's resort surrounding is consistent with its design/theme in all its hotels/resorts. I enjoyed walking around the area and viewing the garden, the beach and pool. The function rooms have advanced facilities (projector and big screen, audio system, etc.) and superior interior design. I am awed with the band playing by the beach and pool side during an afternoon dip.
They can still improve the call handling skills of their guest services. They are so obedient with their spiels that they fail to capture the answer to their spiels as the guest relays the concern.
Boat trips for snorkelling takes 2 hours. Crew should plan to bring drinks and snacks since the trip can drive the guests hungry midway.
