“Great for a weekend”

We just arrived yesterday and this is by far the best resort on the Island. True 5 star resort!
They handled all the transportation for us and organized our arrival perfectly, rooms are a good size and so fresh and clean. Breakfast at Vintana was amazing, great select and hot buffet food! Always difficult to find on these island resorts.

Looking forward to the rest of our trip and we're excited to try the other restaurants for dinner once our friends arrive.

Highly recomend this resort.

No doubt the best resort in the island. But quality and privacy has a price. Sand is better at station 1 since sand in Shang is transported from the other part of the island. If you want privacy and you spend, stay here. If you want action and better sand, stay elsewhere in Station 1.

The Shangrila Boracay experience started the moment they pick you up in their satellite office in Caticlan. They will take care of everything..from your bags, transfer, etc. All you have to do is sit down and wait. From the private port a buggy was there to pick us up. I really appreciated this because I was with my wife and 3 kids so safety and convenience were my utmost concern.

Though the beach cannot be compared to the beach front/ sand quality of Station 1, they made up for it by providing excellent facilities and common areas. My kids specially loved the Adventure Zone.

There are 2 beach coves (semi-public and private beach) in Shangri-La, go for the public beach because sand quality is better.

We really appreciated the room because of its comfortable bed, constant room temperature and it was strategically located...far enough from the noisy area but near enough if ever we need to visit the facilities. Plus a buggy can bring you anywhere when you are tired of walking (or carrying your kids. )

Value wise you will be surprised...the food prices are comparable to the restaurants in D'Mall! (I am comparing it with Aria and Ole in D'Mall Station2.)

Overall, staying in Shangri-la was a great experience and I wouldnt mind visiting it again.

I got married at the Shangri-La Boracay in December 2012, I had organised my wedding from London via emails and phone call to Zane who I had as the event coordinator. I was initially worried as I would not get to the venue a week before the wedding and had not been to Boracay before but all my family and friends who have been said it was a great holiday destination.
There are various wedding package you can choose depending on your budget.

From the moment I arrived at the front of the Shangri-la and saw the view I loved the place, it is secluded from the rest of the town. What makes it beautiful is that it feels like its been blended into nature with lots of trees and flowers and the villas are amazing and have spectacular views.
You never feel like it is over crowded, breakfast is amazing because there is so much choice. You can even have roast for breakfast.

As for my wedding I could not fault the service, the wedding coordinator was so good. She thought about things I had not thought of and was there when I needed her. I did not need a wedding coordinator. Staff were so helpful even when one of the groomsmen split his trousers they mended it there and then. They were there as soon as you needed help with anything.
The package may be a little more expensive than other hotels but it is worth it as they did everything to make my day perfect.
I would recommend this place for anyone who wants the perfect beach wedding, they will not let you down.

Room Tip: If going for your honeymoon definitely try for the villas as they have beautiful views and very spac...

The service is well, everyone you see are smile to you. Breakfast is delicous, very fresh and abundant. The room is perfect, very quiet, away from noisy. They have a comfortable bed, we sleep well here. They have their own beach, in the fact you don't need to go any other place if you just want to have a relaxed vocation and it is not the first time you come to boracay.

It's location is far way from market, D'mall. They have shuttle bus to take you to d'mall every 30 minutes, and it is just 15 minutes drive, more or less.

Anyway, it's a very nice resort. The only bad thing is it cost USD 400++ a night.

If you looking for a true relaxing time, you have to go there. all the staff, yes I mean all the staff there are friendly, helpful, always with nice smile on their face, they help before you ask, so your brain can really rest a bit as they will think for you "1 click ahead".

The sunset there, my goodness, don't bring your smart phone or camera with you if you just want to watch and enjoy the romantic sunset, otherwise you will spend 30 mins there non stop take picture, as you will see the whole process of amazing color change from blue to purple, to pink, to orange......yes, I captured all these,

And the bed, we planed to lay down and talk but end up zzZZZZ right after we lay down and don't want to leave there when we have to check out.

We stayed here for 9 night for our honeymoon and i have to say its was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we got picked up at Kalibo airport to when we left the staff were amazing. So friendly and would go out of there way to do anything. Have to mention Nick and Wynn in the Sorlana bar and Laudito at the pool bar, these guys went out of there way to make our stay a memorable one. There service was amazing and you never see service like that in Australia. We had a sea view deluxe room(room513) and it was spectacular. The food was sensational, every restaurant was 5 star and i recommend watching the sunset at the Sorlana bar with a cocktail then ordering from the seafood restaurant Sirena, its amazing.

If you want a honeymoon to remember, i highly recommend the Shangri-la Boracay you wont regret it.
