the plataform view was destroyed by the earthquake but its possible to have a nice view of the hills

but if you dont jump the fence (easy) you wont get a nice view of the hills

also u can ask ur tricycle driver to bring you to the new plataform view, but its a little far from the original one

its a little far from downtown

We visited the Chocolate Hills as part of a day trip from our hotel. They were interesting to look at though I did not think of them as chocolate. It was about to rain when we were there and the look was great. The area was affected by the earthquake last year by the fact that the bell tower at the top is no longer at the moment and you used to walk up the stairs and down a ramp but the ramp only goes from half way down as the rest of it has been destroyed.

The fellow who drove us around had picked us up from the ferry terminal the day before. He quoted us 2500 php for the day but added another 300 php because we added the Bee Farm to our trip which he said would be extra but we decided to get it all in on one day. This is a lot cheaper than what the hotel would have charged us. He picked us up at 10:00am and we went to Loboc to do the river cruise, the Tarsier Sanctuary at Loboc, drove through the man made forest, onto the Chocolate Hills and past the Hanging Bridge then onto the Bee Farm. We also visited a couple of churches that had been damaged by the earthquake but that was because of their age I think. He also took us to a gift shop on the way home.

We had a good out and had to pay the entrance fees for the Chocolate Hills, the Loboc River Cruise which included lunch and the Tarsier Sanctuary. We arrived back at our hotel at 5:00pm.

the first time that my hubby and i visited Bohol, we really fascinated with its environment and also how people take care of it. how people value the importance of nature not because what this can give to them but they know the role of it. the Chocolate Hills is a must visit place, added exercise because you have to climb some steps to go up so that you could have the whole view. but its all worthy, very romantic and very nice endurance practice for a couple.
