Exactly the same from what you see in the postcards.

It is a bit far from the airport (about 1 1/2 hours) but, still, this is a must-see when you're in Bohol.

We had a countryside tour last March 24,2013 and part of it is going to The Chocolate Hills and have a great wonderful experience seeing those "Gigantic Chocolates Hill" that's spread around that viewing place where you need to go.... Along our way there we start asking our drive who's a local resident in Bohol and knows most of the ancient - historical places and events in Bohol! We agree that we are such lucky having a good driver at the same time good tourist guide for our group (4pax). He told us that it's called Chocolate Hills because it really look likes huge chocolate...He even told us that long time ago, rumors tells that there's two giants fighting and throwing stones or mud and ...that's where it came from! Chocolate Hills...1,700 Hills all over!
Then, when we arrived there before we went up to the top to have the full view... we are all asking where's the Chocolate Hills?! You can say it's not a mountain...but, it doesn't look like as well of a huge chocolate ! I must say, it's a quite long drive going there as you will be a having other places before the chocolate hills which is for me a good choice and being frustrated of what we have seen... at least we already enjoyed the Man-Made Forest! going back we pass by to Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary . No need to go back anymore when you seen it once.

nice to see the chocolate hilss but not special. The tour makes it feel like the chocolate hills are really special but they are just normal hills

We loved visiting the Chocolate Hills! I recommend going at a time of day when there will be shadows - early morning or late afternoon. While there is a lot of touristy feel stuff going on, it's still a beautiful natural wonder and easily accessible to all. There are ~200 stairs to climb to get to the top viewing point, but you could easily view from the parking/dropoff area or there is a ramp up as well.

It's definitely a spot to stop while you're in Bohol - though you probably only need 30 mins to an hour to hike around, take tons of pictures, and get the full experience.

May only be hills but its a fantastic, beautiful place with stunning views. Great place to visit with family or friends, romantic place with a loved one. A must visit on any trip to Bohol. We done this trip as part of a day trip round Bohol, great place and would go back. Think there was a small fee i can't remember to be honest. Spent about hour there relaxing, having fun and enjoying the views
