“Natural wonder on earth!”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

It is quite a distance to get there but you won't regret having seen something like this. It is unique to have all those formations just like being awed at the colors and rock formations of the Grand Canyon in AZ.One may use the cemented ramp to go up and get a better view. There are also steps on the other side if that is your choice. Vehicle parking was restricted when we were there but there is parking at the bottom of the site. The hills were green and they change to chocolate during the summer months as I was told. There is a graphic explanation of how the hills were formed on one of the walls.Might be worth seeing again when the hills are brown. It is still free but the photo ops before the climb cost P100 per chosen pose.

“Unique natural formations”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Hills weren't as "chocolate" as hoped for because of the time of year. Hills turn brown as vegetation dies off during hot and dry summer months (March through May). Hills were jusy staring to turn brown when we were there 3rd week of March. Likely better during April and May for contrast with very green vegetation all around the hills. Nicely built stairs and ramps for visitors. Unique views not to seen elsewhere. Long visit not required though.

“What a place”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Went for a day trip around Bohol and stopped here for around 45 minutes only. Was enough to be honest. The best view is from a walk up a steep path to a viewing area where u can take pictures from many viewpoints. It really is a spectacular scene worth seeing and i would go back again if in Bohol. It costs nothing to up the viewpoint. The hills themselves are really nice to see and even better if they are brown at the time. Just the drive to get there was nice, like nothing else i've seen in the Philippines.

“A Natural Monument”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

I been around various destinations and in terms of views Chocolate Hills is beyond compare. I don't think anything can be compared to this natural historical work of art. It's 60KM away from the airport but there are a lot of interesting stops along the way.

PROS:
Nice Views
Panoramically beautiful
Very informative

CONS:
Facilities needs repairs there are cracks in the hotel and resto
Cleanliness can be improve in some areas
Needs more activities, after sight seeing and a few shopping nothing else could be done on site.

Paid: PhP 50.00 (US$ 1.25) for entrance per person

CONCLUSION: Country side tour is worth taking, we although prefer renting a motorbike to explore the island wonderful locations on your own pace.

“Ignore the negative write ups”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I've seen other great places, but I still think the Chocolate Hills are a great sight which can hold on its own...Some people just need to express negativity and bias even at the most beautiful wonders. Plus Bohol, offers a trail of attractions, there's the beautiful beach, the Mahogany forest, the pretty rural landscape, and the Tarsier sanctuary, all in one island.

Definitely a great place to visit.
