Owner description: One of the oldest stone churches in the Philippines.

Just viewed from outside, it has been badly damaged by Nov 2013 eathquake. Hopefully, most of it will be fixed with no damage to the historic roots.

The church is still impressive, despite being so damaged by the earthquake. Actually, the main damage is on the facade and the tower, but the interior has suffered mostly surface damage. It is well worth entering and your money will help restore the church to some semblance of its former glory. Compared with the damage suffered in Loboc, it actually escaped a much worse fate.

Every time I traveled Bohol. I always pay a visit to this stunning church that was ever made in the history of Catholicism in the Philippines. If you intended to visit this place may not worth it anymore after the 7.2 magnitude hit the place the church has ruin its structures. :(

In the past the church for sure was impressive but it was heavily damaged by earthquake in October 2013. When I was passing by in early January 2014 access to it was closed and work on securing the site was ongoing. The tower was separated from the rest of the church and seems to be quite unstable. The main street next to it is closed and bypasses were created.
At the moment you can see the church only from the distance.

Sadly this was destroyed by an earthquake in 2013. I was here first in 1999 and the experience was breathtaking. However the church needed some more maintenance. You can ask permission to go up to the 2nd floor, and get a bird's eye view of the town.
