Owner description: One of the oldest stone churches in the Philippines.

you would appreciate the history of the island due to the existence of some of the oldest buildings. Baclayon Church is one. the facade looks simple, though you would know it to be a very old building. it is along the road so spotting the place would be a breeze. it has a great view of the ocean as well. once inside, there are lots of statues of saints. it was very solemn and peaceful inside. you'd appreciate it that tourists respect the church. the altar is beautiful and well-lighted. the area is well-maintained, as well.

the oldest stone church in bohol. built during 16 century.quite run down still beautiful. the adjacent museum is pretty informative. one needs to dress conservatively to enter the church. they provide wraps to cover your legs.

There is a face of Padre Pio imprinted on the exterior walls of the church. You can search online who St. Pio is.

Anyone can just visit Baclayon Church, known as the oldest church in the country. As I walked the church grounds, an image appears to be on the coral walls. I'm not quiet sure if that was an attraction, but it certainly caught my eye. Inside the church, I came across statues that were well preserved given how old this church is.

No shorts allowed, but if visiting, they do provide a sarong for the ladies.
There's also no fee to visit Baclayon Church.
