“Best Onland Guided Service of Bohol!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Just a perfect stopover on your way to the Chocolate Hills to have lunch and... enjoy the company of a good guide! Butterfly gardens are butterfly gardens, but what makes the place is really the quality if the guides. The guides at Simply Butterflies are resourceful and have a very good sense of humor!

Great experience, conveniently located on the way to the 'must-see' (but not so much to experience) attraction; the Chocolate Hills.

“Great experience and pleasantly surprised by the good food!”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

I was not keen on actually making Simply Butterflies part of our itinerary but we needed one stop as a filler before we headed for the Chocolate Hills and in our book, this stop is not just a filler stop! The conservation centre is well maintained and the staff cheerful, helpful, entertaining and knowledgeable. Jomar was our tour guide and he was a hoot. Our party of ten was composed of kids aged 5 - 17 and adults. All had a great time. Our tour lasted about 40 minutes with the kids asking lots of questions and all of them were answered. Jomar did not rush us through and was very patient with all the questions. He even explained what local plants I can plant in my garden to encourage more butterflies to come!

We had a choice between having lunch at Simply Butterflies or at the Chocolate Hills and we chose Simply Butterflies as the restaurant area was clean and pleasant. We ordered from their extensive menu before we started the tour -- sinigang, chicken pandan, herb chicken, friend tilapia and smoked tilapia and vegetarian nachos. The food was great and reasonable. The homemade ice cream was also very good -- Dragon Fruit, durian, cocoa and other regular flavours such as cookies and cream, mango, vanilla. We've had lunch at the Chocolate Hills and Loboc River cruise before and lunch at Simply Butterflies was much, much better -- quality, quantity and presentation were all much better! Sinigang had lots of meat and vegetables and good broth.

The total time we spent at Simply Butterflies? 1.5 hours and it was a great time!!

Reviewed January 5, 2013

a small butterfly park with really informative guides. my guide spoke perfect english and was very professional. he somehow convinced me to have a few caterpillars roam in my palm and take photos for me. it was an interesting experience considering that i hate bugs. its a good 10-15min stop.

“Informative & Educational”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

The park tour is good enough for 20 minutes. Our tour guide Michael was a great guide. He was very personable, informative and really knew his science that is Butterflies and Moths. Since my son has this great aversion for anything that are insects or bugs, he was able to convince my son to look at these colorful worms, beautiful butterflies and a real-life pupa/ cocoon. It was Science at its best. I think perhaps it was mainly Michael made things so much fun and entertaining. He also served as our photographer throughout the entire tour. Park was well maintained. Clean. Efficient.

“small but nice butterfly park”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

Its the 4th butterfly park i have been in, but the smallest one and the only one I have enjoyed going into. It doesnt have a huge collection of butterflies, it doesnt cover a large area, but it has very helpful guides who happily explain to you the life cycle of the butterfly, its peculiarities and all sort of oddities I didnt know before - prettier the caterpillar, uglier the butterfly. Like at the Tarsier sanctuary, the guide was helpful rather than obstrusive, and i would recommend families with young children to go.
