What a wonderful place...We really needed to get away from it all and this was really the place to do that. Kawayanan resort is a very peaceful place and they have a serene environment. If you are looking for a place that is close to some of the hot spot in Puerto Princesa, Kawayanan is the place to be. The room is spacious and clean. The food was great and they have the BEST staff that will help and take good care of you. The service was excellent. Great tours are available for everyone at an affordable price. Tours includes Palawan City Tours (Binuatan Creations, Crocodile Farm, Iwahig Prison, Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Baker's Hill, Late Senator Mitra's Ranch), Underground River (two thumbs up), Island Hopping and Dos Palmas Island Resort & Spa (great, great, great). Puerto Princesa is the greenest and cleanest city in the Philippines. My family and I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Kawayanan resort to everyone!

Was in Puerto Princesa with a friend last September 24-27,2009. Do check at my pics if you want too see more of Kawayanan and Puerto Princesa in Palawan http://joerafer.multiply.com/ . I didn't know we were staying in Kawayanan til we arrived there since everything was arranged by our company's (where I work) tour operator in Puerto Princesa. I asked for a resort with a pool so we stayed at Kawayanan. The resort is simply beatiful and almost everything is made of Bamboo (English of Kawayan correct me if I'm wrong). An employee assisted us to the restaurant and the owner approcahed us and welcomed us (we didn't know she was the owner she just said she's the manager 'til the driver told us). All the employees we're accommodating and corteous even if we arrived really late from drinking in bars like pass 12mn. One time we asked an employee to call us a tricycle and he didn't want me to give him a tip but I insisted he should have it. Their driver/tour guide was very nice and all smiles while touring us around. He even lent his snorkelling gears that we can use in our Island Hopping Tour. The food was awesome, I love their Pork Sisig and their Filipino breakfast. Anyway, to cut things short, the food, the place, the pool , the people at Kawayanan are awesome. The down side is you pay more for the tricycle since it's not in the main road.

Really nice and accommodating staff. The driver/tour guide, Kuya Jay, is very informative and approachable. Had a great time during the city tour. The island hopping and underground cave tour are also well organized. Packed lunch during the said tours are okay (usually grilled fish, pork, etc). The rooms are very clean and the bed sheets and towels are re-furbished everyday. Other activities like swimming, billiards and videoke are available free of use to the guests. Very peaceful and serene environment. Definitely enjoyed our stay in Kawayanan! :))

Here' s our letter (feedback) for the people in Kawayanan:

hi ms lorraine! i hope you still remember us. we stayed in your "cleanest" and "greenest" resort last may 22-25...

anyway, since day 1 of our stay in Kawayanan, our group had been thinking of sending you feedbacks as soon as we get back to manila. 'cos, as soon as kuya jay and jea (your OJT) picked us up from the puerto princesa airport, we were treated with so much kindness and warmth. :) we actually thought of making something fancy for the resort as a remembrance but our 4 days had been so jampacked with activities that we didnt have time to make one, hehe. anyway, it's the thought that counts. we "thought" of making you guys something to remember us by.

indeed, your resort is very clean and "green." well-maintained. the cottage where we stayed was well-ventilated, clean and very homey. :) we liked the beds, not too hard but not too soft either. the sheets looked clean and smelled fresh. :) the heater's working! i am personally very particular with that when im in a resort hehe. the pool's a plus. everyday during our stay, we always wanted to swim but we just got so tired from the day activities that we didnt have enough energy left to swim in the resort's pool (not to mention to play billiards and to try your videoke hehe). then again, it added to the comfortable ambience in your resort. the food's good! we loved the squid... too bad lang we werent able to try that seafood platter (?). we loved the tapa also! and the crispy pata! *yum*

the tour package was also well-organized. we wished to stay longer cos we enjoyed the trip (city tour, honda bay hop, underground river) so much! we didnt feel hassled for anything, well, except when we found out that the croc farm was closed. then again, we're so thankful cos you still arranged for us to visit the croc farm. the tour guides, ate eden and ate thea were both very nice. their spiels are entertaining and informative. :)

but the best thing about your resort is your people! :) everybody's just soooo nice, soooo accomodating, soooooo cheerful! and you all looked so genuinely kind! :) we can rely on CHA for room requests and for information regarding our tour. ARNOLD's very sipag, changing our sheets (upon request) even if his shift for the day's about to end. CHRISTINE/CRISTY attended to our dine-in needs very well. KUYA JAY not only drove picked us up from and dropped us in the airport, he also toured us around the city, at the same time sharing valuable information about palawan. :) he's a good tour guide, actually! to give credit to your OJT, JEA, she's also nice and though quite shy, is friendly. and of course, you MS.LORRAINE for organizing our stay in your resort, for making sure that we are comfortable, and for accomodating my request to have my personal towel washed!

thank you so much! you made our first time in palawan a truly memorable one. :) we are definitely recommending kawayanan to our friends, family or to whoever's planning to go to palawan. we hope that you'll be able to maintain the cleanliness and most of all the kindness of the people in your resort.

we miss palawan so bad. we're planning to come back haha! :)

WE LOVE KAWAYANAN! (and we love your jingle, by the way. :D )

the place is ok. the rooms are hot.. air con is not cold at all. also the owner and stuff have a bad mouth .. they bad mouth the driver we hired for our day trip. and we were supposed to go by 9 am and the owner delay us by talking to our driver up to 10am..
dont book your whole trip if you are traveling in a group because you can have a van hire which would cost 3000 which would be cheaper..

we are VERY DISAPPOINTED because they don't respect our decision we want to hire a van and they fight with our driver.. they even demand to know our schedule.. which in the first place they don't have the right..
