We visited PP as a first stop in touring the island of Palawan. We were greeted by Azzure at the airport (he waited close to 2 hours for us due to our flight being delayed). He was very friendly. Getting close to the resort, I felt very apprehensive as you drive through small streets and the shacks that line them up but once we reached the gate, the resort was cute. Our stay at the resort, included breakfast and 3 tours - this was the best value we came across on our entire trip in the Philippines. The food is very traditional. The room was very clean and very minimal. The resort has a nice large pool with a slide so if you have kids, they would enjoy this. The pool was very inviting after a hot day of tours. The location is a little far from the main streets of PP but the staff always called a tricycle for us if we needed to get around. Great value. The tours were also very good.

We just left the place today. Very warm and friendly, especially their manager Ms. Mahal and their staff Marigold. They made sure our requests are taken cared for. They arranged for our tours and we had so much fun. The place is very relaxing but yes the mosquitoes can be bothersome. The location is a bit problematic since the street where they are located had potholes and were a bit muddy and we had to walk to reach the main road. But overall it was a wonderful experience. Hope the local government fixes that road soon.

This is not a 5-star nor does it look anything close to a regular resort (for a westerner). However, the resort seems quaint and authentic. Rooms are average to possibly smaller than average. A/C in each room is a blessing in the skies. However, room service does turn them off during the day if you leave the resort. That means when you return after a long and hot day trip, a hot-humid room is waiting for you.
The resort also provided my family excursions at the same prices as other tourist offices. The resort also has their own vans so you'll won't have to pickup other guest at various hotels.
The problem we experienced is when tried their laundry service. The fees were ok, but their execution was horrible. We dropped off our clothes in the early AM and I was promised that it would be ready by the end of the day (prior to our departure day). I DID ask them if they had a dryer because there was no way our clothes would dry in one day during the monsoon season. They said yes, but their interpretation of a dryer was a fan blowing 91-pieces of clothing. Needless to say, 24-hours laters, our clothes were damp to wet. That meant extra weight in the luggage. We were upset and quite disappointed. They had even charged us by the "wet" weight instead of the "dry" weight. After voicing our disappointment, they didn't charge us, but the inconvenience wasn't worth it. They should have not accepted to do the laundry if they knew that clothes wouldn't dry as promised. Otherwise, I would have given them 4-stars.

We stayed here in between visiting el nido in Palawan. We we met at the airport on arrival and greeted with big smiles and warmth and soon to a lovely big room. They are very friendly and helpful here and we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and we managed time for a dip in the pool and down the slide! Would definitely recommend this hotel which is in easy distance to the Robinson mall. The rooms are very clean with ad and fan and tv. The staff are what make it such a great place and we even got a big wave from them all when we left ! Delightful ! Emmet and Peter

We were a group of 13 people who stayed at this location. I do not believe we had the correct expectations of the property before arriving. The pictures look great on the website and the people are very nice, but no that your rooms will not be cleaned, you will be nickel and dimed for everything. An extra pillow in the room is extra, towels for the pool are extra. Can you sleep there, absolutely, but do not expect any additional luxuries. Unfortunately our cabin (1 out of the 4 rooms we occupied) smelt like a port-a-potty. They came in every day after we asked and poured chemicals in the toilet and the the sink and it made it smell better but this was a daily occurrence and we had to ask instead of them checking. Bring mosquito spray, the resort lights coils around the outside hut seating area but they come in the rooms and bite over night. This is close proximity to walk to the Robinson mall and also walk thru some of the local shops in this area. We booked the package deal through the resort for the underground cave and the island hopping. Now that we have experienced it and know, its cheaper to do it on your own versus going through the hotel. Also, if you have been island hopping before elsewhere, you might want to look into the details a bit more throughly to manage your expectations. I have traveled a bit and its nothing what I expected, unfortunately.

Room Tip: Even though the beach resorts are further away from the underground cave tour, I would recommend sta...

Good stay for short holiday. theres nothing to do for nightlfe however the main attraction in puerto princessa is the cave and the island hopping anyway, so you'll be exhausted after end of the day. They have karaoke system but it was broken during our stay. Billiard table you can use for free, food was ok. Service is reasonable as well as the price. Pool is good, they have 2 cute slides.

Although it's hours away from many of Palawan's main scenic spots, this resort is one peaceful and quiet place where you can just relax from all the day's traveling. Eating at the nipa huts lined outside the cabins is a great experience, but one tip is to bring a mosquito repellant. Swimming and playing at the pool with friends and/or family makes the experience fun too. All the staff are very courteous and will greet you with a smile everytime you cross paths with them. They will also promptly attend to your needs if there's any problem. Ma'am Mary Rose will be there to greet you when you arrive and will tell you a lot about the history of the place and Palawan itself. She'll make sure that you know a lot already even before you start your first tour.

One of the problems we had was the extremely slow internet. It's an issue because we need to access the internet to check our business and to do work. Our last two days there we didn't even get to access the internet because they had a problem with the signal I think. They tried resetting the modem and the router but to no avail.

But all in all, it was a pleasant stay. Had fun swimming while it was raining hard! Ate at one of the nipa huts and the service was fast unlike what the other reviewer said. The food was also great and affordable. The rooms were comfortable and cool.

Thanks Kawayanan! Highly recommended people!
