“Modern Minimalist Hotel”
Reviewed May 20, 2014 via mobile

An intimate modern minimalist hotel with a gorgeous pool, gym and restaurant. Approximately 3 minutes away from the airport and a ride away to Puerto Princesa proper. Transportation is readily available anytime of the day (and night). Bar and restaurants are a couple of steps away from the hotel lobby. Highly recommended!

This place is gorgeous chic and modern. Love the design! The staff are AMAZING! They looked after every need possible and were very pleasant. Breakfast which is included with your stay is really good with a mixture of filipino and western choices. My only reason for not giving this hotel a 5 star is the WiFi is bad. It is very slow and available in the lobby and restaurant ONLY but WiFi seems to be a problem anywhere you stay in Palawan. Even in El Nido.
Room had A/C, Safety Deposit Box and free airport transfers. They have a beautiful pool and even a Fitness Centre. This hotel is located close to the airport and 10 to 15 minute tricycle trip to town.
We booked a standard room with a Lanai which was on the ground floor. Room was small for 3 people but good enough for us. The Lanai was a enclosed patio with enough room for a small table and 2 chairs. I would have much rather have booked a second floor or spent the extra money on a suite room facing the pool. We also had a small problem with our shower not draining properly. The hotel also can arrange tours.
All and all our stay was fantastic thanks to the wonderful staff!

While the hotel is a beautifully designed piece of modern architecture, the space is very narrow: bedroom and bathrooms. If you are tall or big, you may not stay there comfortably. There is no WIFI in the room, but that seems to be a general problem in several hotels in Puerto Princesa at the moment.

Breakfast was poor with absolutely no vegetable dishes for vegetarians. No variety of bread of jams or cheeses. No deserts. No fresh juices.

Having said that, the staff did their utmost to make my time as convenient as possible: next day they made me an big vegetable egg roll, but then next day for breakfast I had just raw salad. Poor.

The location is near the airport, but that isn't an advantage. Not so much the noise, but the fact that it is faraway from the city center and business sectors. You have to cross the whole city to get to your appointments. Good things is that a few good restaurants are nearby.

Room Tip: For business not good. For small people, OK.

The hotel was only about 1+ month old when we stayed there. It was clean, and lovely. There is hot water. They have a hair dryer. There is a small pool which we didn't have chance to use. They have a small fitness center but we didnt have time to use. Customer service is great. They even had a Chinese New Year party for guest, which they served some snacks and chinese new year cake.

The ambience when you enter the place is calming. The center piece is the perfectly sized pool with Bisazza tile design. I also commend its staff which were very welcoming although we have a late night check in ( the concierge even assited us towards our room ).The rooms were nice as well as theri wash room. I've just noticed that the bedroom floor is a little sticky, maybe because it is very new. Down side is they forgot to give us towels so we have to use our own and we're stopped from checking out because they thought we brought it with us ( which is their fault for not making sure was complete), But its still okay since they were easy to talk to.Their online ad also says our room has a tub but there is none. The buffet breakfast has a very limited array of food compared to int'l hotels but I liked it. Located only two minutes drive from the airport with a KTV bar,Gym and restaurant nearby this place is a sweet deal.

Room Tip: Try the rooms with lanai!
