Just stayed here in a suite for five nights and the hotel is one of the best in Puerto Princesa. The hotel is located a short walk from the main street in PP. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. The pool was well maintained. Hot water wasn't always available however.
Why a terrible rating? During my stay about half of the hotel was taken over by the U.S. Army who are conducting a joint exercise with the Philippine military. Because it had the best wifi coverage, they "unofficially" took over the piano lounge and made that their place for briefings and other work. Soldiers in uniform were always coming and going.
The people of Palawan are friendly and gracious. Tourists are safe here, but I still don't want to live in a building that has become a base for the U.S. military. What's to stop some fanatic from coming up from Jolo and bombing a building filled with mid-level American military officers. I really think that the hotel management should tell guests about the situation when booking rooms.
The hotel clerk told me that the military would be staying there about two months. I suggest you call the hotel directly before booking a room to discuss the situation.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Clean rooms, good food. Near the vicinity of local restaurants like Kinabuchs Grill and Bar (where you will find exotic delicacy like Tamilok - a wood worm and lots more) and Kalui. Ten minutes away from the airport. The hotel has a pool and bar and free wifi.

Room Tip: Request for the rooms fronting pool so that you'll get a view when you look outside the window.

We decided to stay here during our trip to P.P. after receiving a promo online. It's conveniently located within the city center so we were able to have a walk around without staying too far from our hotel. Their staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even attended to our requests with regards to tour changes even if it was already very late in the evening! They also made reservations for us in a certain restaurant, and would remind us about our reservations and made sure that transfers were available to take us to where we should be going. Some sit-in tour buses also pick up passengers from the hotel, so it was pretty convenient for us as well. Their rooms are quite spacious and are always kept clean. Don't miss their tocino and tapsilog for breakfast!

The only thing is their pool area is out in the open so tricycles or cars dropping off passengers can see everything that's going on around that area. Other than that, it's a pretty nice, hassle-free and affordable place to stay in.

The hotel is clean and quiet. Staff are very nice and helpful. They provide free airport transportation by nice shuttle van. The Japanese restaurant downstairs is good. Food is very delicious. Location is in downtown area, but short distance to the airport. Tricycles park outside and it's easy to call them.

We just stayed a 1 night in this hotel just to experience a big and accessible hotel from the city proper. We had our executive suite room which is very big that can accomodate 6 t0 8 person with the bath tub that my daughter enjoyed so much, the bed was very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was great. We have enough time to buy our pasalubong which the stores just a 3 -5 mins.walk away from hotel. The staff was great and very courteous. Thanks to all the staff..

Three friends and I ate here on two occasions in January 2012, while staying in a different hotel.

The first time we ate here, we all ordered tuna sashimi to start, followed by a Bento box. We found the food to be of excellent quality and good value, the 400php Bento box including sushi, prawn tempura, pork katsu, chicken teriyaki, fruit and a miso.

Unfortunately, the second time we ate here, our experience wasn't so good. We found that, when ordering nigiri, only one piece is provided, rather than the eight pieces of sashimi that arrive when ordering your raw fish without rice - this despite not much difference between the price of sashimi and nigiri. Much worse than this, three of our party of four developed diarrhoea and vomiting during the night after eating here, which lasted roughly 36 hours. Coincidentally, the three of us had all eaten a sushi roll containing fish roe, which the fourth (unaffected) group member had declined due to her dislike of roe.

For the above reason, I am unable to recommend this place for food. Not having stayed here, I can't comment on the rooms.
