“Good Base, Friendly Staff”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

Stayed here from April 29-May 01, 2014. I initially chose Ipil Suites because of its price point. It's affordable and is located in the city center, close to the airport the main road (Rizal Ave). It's a smallish hotel without a pool, but who needs one when you have the beach just a boat ride away? The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The tours arranged for us all ran smoothly. The room and the linens were always kept clean. Air-conditioning and the water pressure were good. Wish there was a hair dryer provided (but it was no big deal, really). The breakfast spread was just ok, but offered quite a few choices.

We had our Honda Bay Tour on our last day. They let us use the room for free to freshen up and take a shower before heading to the airport at no additional cost. Really appreciated this.

Would stay again!

Room Tip: get a lower level room as there is no elevator.

This is a nice hotel.
10 mins walk from the airport but it does go in to a private road with cobbles so if it rains there will be puddles and maybe mud too which has lost a few points.
I was lucky to get there two days after it rained a lot. just a few puddles.

The hotel once you get there down a road is very nice. looks clean and they light the path at night.
walk takes 2 mins.
Once inside everyone is friendly and helpful.
They have a roof top restaurant which they also do room service .
They also organise tours and free airport pick up and drop offs.

Trikes to town takes 5 mins and there are trikes all the time on the main road.

Outside there are restaurants and even one on the corner at the main road.
At night time there is no food around so shopping for the night will help.

Even though it is close to the airport, I didn't hear any noise .

I got triple bed and the room was smaller than I imagined but cosy.
They do not have a safe.
The shower was great and the water was hot.

They have Aircon as well as a fan.

I am very please with this one and I didn't mind travelling to town as it is so close and inexpensive.

Room Tip: the triple bedroom is great cant add photos as tripadvisor doesn't let me at the moment

Service here is really good - staff is polite and prompt. They took over our itinerary well on our last day, when we said we're checking out and nowhere to go till night (since our flight back to manila is at 7pm). They allowed us to leave our luggages at the their storage, arranged our honda bay tour and made sure we'll be back on time for our flight. When we got back, they let us use one of their rooms so we can take a bath.. With no extra charge :) the location is also perfect as you can just walk from here to the airport, and other famous restaus along rizal street. In spite of that, they still give free shuttle ride to and from the airport! (30 seconds ride to save 3 mins of walking? Wow!)

Im giving 4 stars though (not 5) for the unpleasant view of our room window (room 207) and for the too small bathroom - not too big deal for me though because the bathroom is clean, dry, complete with towels and toiletries, and also had hot shower. :)

We stayed very briefly for 1 night on the way to El Nido and 1 night on the way back leaving Puerto Princesa. For our purposes the location was very convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I would certainly stay again if I were transiting through Puerto Princesa.

Less than a 5 min walk from the front gates of the airport but the hotel offers a free shuttle as well. Quieter part of the town on a side street off the main road. Its a short walk for all the action or get a tricycle 5 or 10 min ride. The staff are very attentive and friendly they even offer late check out until 2 pm at no charge. Hot showers and private bathroom

Room Tip: Room on second or third floor has better views.

As you walk in, the friendly staff greet you with a local fruit drink. Then you take in the ambiance of local art & furniture, in the lobby - so pretty & relaxing.

Pros :
●The staff - amazing & sweet.
●The food, especially the breakfasts, were delicious.
● Shower & water pressure. I know this sounds weird, but when you're out & about all day sweating, it's a blessing to come back to a reliable shower. ;)
● Extremely close to the airport.

Cons :
■ No business center, for guests to use.
■ Poor internet connection.
■ No coffee/bottled waters provided in rooms.
■ Tiny bathrooms - you have to step into the shower, just to shut/open the door.
■ No change $ - it's tough to give tips or pay for a taxicle, when you aren't able to break your larges. :(

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor room, due to the noise that echoes in the lobby area. Also, no room really ha...

My family stayed here in late June this year, booked our tours, including meals thru the hotel. Very nice people at the front desk; service was friendly and excellent. Trish Tagle you are a fabulous host. We had a good time. Food at the restaurant upstairs was excellent, clean restaurant too, no funky smell. Rooms were small compared with the hotel we stayed in Boracay, but they were clean. Could use a better turn down service, i.e. replace beddings and towels everyday (necessary especially when you are out everyday, you come in from the heat & shower twice a day) ;supply & replenish soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion, extra blankets with no extra fee, hair dryer. I would not mind a higher room rate as long as the amenities are complete. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay here very much. My family and I wish to thank Trish Tagle and her staff for making our stay enjoyable. From the Santos and Fernandez Families

Room Tip: We do not know if there were bigger size rooms in the hotel; there was no noise, we were fine.
