Is one of the top7 world wonder.
And the cave itself is amazing.
You will feel super natural when getting in and feel the real wonder from the Mother Nature.

We tossed up whether we should visit or not, as we’d heard it is super touristy and rushed, and my friend and I had seen plenty of impressive caves before. It didn’t feel particularly rushed to us though, despite being super touristy, and we were both quite impressed with it all. The river is amazing and feels like it goes on forever. The tours go 2km into the cave (which apparently continues on deep enough that oxygen runs out and people that explore it have to take an oxygen cylinder!). It takes about 2 hours from Puerto Princesa to get there. Had I done it knowing what I know now, I think I would have arranged accommodation either in the local town or taken my bag and been dropped off at the junction to port Barton afterwards before continuing up north.

The trip to underground river is worth money and time. Boat ride in the dark cave with audio guide and complete silence is just what you need after some crazy days in the city. This is a unique experience you won’t regret.

Sabang is the closest town to this park. You can arrange transport through where you are staying or from some travel sites in the town. You want to make these arrangements at least a day before you go. The standard tour is about 1.5 kilometers. You can opt for a longer tour, but you will need to apply for permits at least 3 days in advance.

This is a UNESCO world heritage site. So the tours are pretty tightly scheduled for the volume of tourists that visit. Taking a boat from Sabang with a tour group, round trip will take about 3 to 3.5 hours. So if you leave at 0730 you should be done by 10-1030. Do the early groups to avoid the tourists coming from Puerto Princesa, well worth it as the monkey's aren't up yet.

I read some reviews that stated the park was a 20 minute walk up the beach from Sabang to reach. If you use your finger on a map, sure. It's a touch over 5 kilometers as the crow flies. finger travel on a map is the only way you'd make that time. If you want to walk up the beach you will need to swim, walk, climb to get there. Give yourself 2 hours or more. I opted for the 15 minute boat ride at 730 AM. Trip went just fine.

The trip is worth it for cave lovers and people interested in stalactites and stalagmites. There's bats in the caves and the possibility of getting bat guano, bat pee, or miscellaneous stalactite juice dripping on you is high.

I enjoyed my trip here and thought it was worth the entrance and boat fees to see, once.

The cave it self is fascinating. The waiting before and after is a joke. If you find out when you first arrive how long you must wait you can walk about 10 minutes to the waterfall, other wise you sit around waiting, waiting and waiting some more when you could be exploring. Then you finally get on a boat amee wait a little longer. The cave is beautiful and comes
with a guide, just
stunning worth seeing fir sure. After you go back by another boat and
wait some more for
your ride onward. So a lot of waiting but if you make use of your time it's amazing
